"Charles! Don't just stand there! Hurry up and get started! I can't handle this alone!" Tuba shouted as he snipped away at the sea otters with scissors.
Although still confused, Charles knew this wasn't the time to hesitate. He kicked off the seaweed and shot straight toward the Sea Otter Ring below.
CLANG! His Prosthetic Anchor Hook shot out. Charles swung it hard, the chain and hook whipping through the sea otter pack like a long whip.
A constant POPPING sound rang out. As each sea otter vanished, the buildings of the resplendent city quickly began to collapse.
Just as Charles was about to fall into that bright city, his anchor hook lashed out, catching on a seaweed tree and yanking him back.
In that moment, hanging upside down, Charles saw the people living in the city. They were screaming for help, fleeing in panic like ordinary urban residents caught completely off guard.
Everything felt disturbingly real, as if these people were actual residents of a living city.
