Hearing Tuba's laughter sent a chill down Charles's spine. He looked at his navigator and slowly asked, "Tuba, what are you laughing at?"
Tuba, who was in the middle of a roaring laugh, suddenly froze. He snapped his head toward Charles and said in a delighted voice, "Of course I'm laughing! We had a great victory and got all this good stuff. Should I be crying instead?"
It turned out his villainous laughter wasn't because he'd accomplished some grand, evil scheme; he was simply happy.
Suppressing the urge to roll his eyes, Charles said anxiously, "This is not the time to be happy. The situation is handled, so get us out of here, fast."
He had been stuck in this ghostly place for far too long; all he wanted now was to leave as soon as possible.
"What's the rush? These things have been specially fermented by them, so they're incredibly easy to absorb," Tuba said, pointing at the large heap of human corpses on the ground.
