Charles's gaze slowly swept over the faces of the crew. "Everyone, if you still recognize me as your captain, then after this meal, all of you should return to Hope Island. Don't tell anyone about meeting me, and don't ever come looking for me again."
Upon hearing this, Deep felt a pang of unease. But then, he breathed a small sigh of relief. At least the Captain isn't in any danger. As long as he's safe, that's all that matters.
"No way! Since you're on this island, I'm staying too," Lily was the first to voice her strong disagreement.
Charles reached out and gently patted her on the head, looking at her warmly. "Lily, be good. Everything has to get back on track."
"I told you, I'm not a kid! Why do you always pat my head?!" Lily forcefully knocked Charles's hand away and sat back in her seat, puffing out her cheeks in annoyance. The atmosphere in the room grew heavy.
