"Tree branches?" Anna's pupils slightly contracted at Olivia's words. Her mind flashed back to the bloody flesh tree that Charles had transformed into.
Back then, Charles's appearance was caused by Anna herself. She had witnessed Charles's eventual departure, and how his temporarily assembled tree body quickly turned into a pool of blood.
If Charles wanted to leave some branches, he should have left them with her, not with someone else.
"Could this bastard be hiding something from me? What is he planning?" Anna paced back and forth with her brows tightly knitted, constantly speculating.
"Isn't he addicted to being a savior, risking his life in the Earth Sea to cause trouble for Futan? The Earth's surface is calm, what backup is he leaving here?"
"But if he left it for me, that doesn't make sense either. I had already died once, and he didn't make a move."
Her feet suddenly stopped, and she looked down at Olivia, who was curled up in the corner of the wall.
