Li Sui was watching the performers, and they were watching her right back. In fact, they were practically staring, their eyes locked on her. They had never seen such a beautiful girl before.
"What are you looking at? Haven't you ever seen a woman before?" the old man chided, rapping each of them on the forehead.
He glanced at the Copper Coins in the bowl, then reached out and gave the young boy's shoulder a sharp twist, popping the dislocated arm back into place. "Let's go, time to leave the city. Ugh, after all that work, we haven't even earned enough for a meal."
Once they had packed everything up, they steered the horse-drawn carriage out of the city. Just as they passed through the gates, they saw Li Sui following them. Some of the younger men in the troupe grew restless, wondering if the girl had taken a liking to one of them.
