"Happy hundredth day, my dear little sister, Ariya."
"Happy hundredth day, my lady."
"Agho!" I let out a happy sound, followed by a small giggle.
"Hahaha! Is my dear sister happy?" Nolan asked eagerly.
"I made you a cake!" he continued proudly. "And I asked the servants to prepare baby biscuits for you too! Oh—and after the cake, I can't wait for you to pick your future role!"
So that's what he's excited about…
The room was beautifully decorated. Colorful balloons floated near the ceiling, and toys and neatly wrapped gifts were arranged carefully around the room. Everything looked bright and cheerful. It seemed we were celebrating in Nolan's room. Its layout was similar to mine, but larger and filled with more elegant furniture.
"Let us cut the cake first, Young Master," Lilian said gently. "Then we can proceed to the main event of the celebration."
"Alright!" Nolan nodded enthusiastically. "I really want to see if Ariya likes the cake I made with the chef."
The cake was placed on the table before us. It wasn't too large or too small—just the right size. Decorated simply yet beautifully, it looked warm and inviting.
Oh—there's a chair for me.
Nice. At least I don't have to be held the whole time.
"Lilian, can you light the candle now?" Nolan asked.
"As you wish, Young Master."
Crack.
Ah… matchsticks.
I hadn't seen one since I was seven in my previous life.
They both began to sing together.
"Happy hundredth day to you,
Happy hundredth day to you,
Happy hundredth day to Ariya,
Happy hundredth day to youuu~"
"Okay, now blow the candle like this," Nolan said, demonstrating enthusiastically. "Whooo!"
Whoosh—
I tried to blow, but I was too far away. The flame flickered but stayed strong.
"It's alright," Lilian said kindly. "Let me bring you closer."
She lifted me gently and held me near the candle.
Whoosh—
The flame went out.
…I did it.
I actually did it.
"Yay!" Nolan cheered. "My baby sister is a genius!"
Of course I am.
I'm older than you, after all.
"Hmph."
"Hahaha," Lilian laughed softly. "I suppose she is."
As their laughter filled the room, something warm settled in my chest.
This celebration wasn't grand.
There were no nobles, no formal guests, no political meaning behind it.
But it was real.
And for the first time since coming to this world—
I felt truly celebrated.
