The moment that Eris heard that, she knew that she only had a fraction of a second to act before someone died. Kossuth might not mind her coming here, but Arad is a dragon, so showing up in her territory uninvited could be considered rude. Even with that, Eris was almost certain that Kossuth wouldn't attack Arad normally and that she was only doing it to either test him or have some fun.
But that was a huge problem, especially in Arad's current situation where his human moral compass is broken.
