"That's true indeed," Lara felt like crushing Anjie was a big victory to celebrate, even if it came at the cost of watching another force—the Four Girls' Alliance—rise and take her place as the secondary power. To Lara, as long as Anjie was sidelined, the world was in balance.
Least to her knowledge, and to the other girls', Anjie wasn't that naive at all. While Lara celebrated her victory, Anjie was already looking past the shackles of her situation and decided to do something way out of the box.
Anjie was the best one among them to read through the dark future awaiting her. She knew she was in a very tight spot, masked only by the current strength her fallen father's kingdom provided. Yet in the long run, she could clearly see herself falling behind if she played by the rules Lara and the others were setting.
