"Something's going on with you." Gael eyes me so suspiciously as he takes a sip of his own drink.
"Like what?" I ask, not bothering to hide the grin on my face. It's fun to mess with Gael when he thinks he's onto something with me.
"I don't know. You look weird. What are you hiding?"
"Not hiding anything." Still grinning.
Gael looks at me like he's obviously not believing what I say. Fully facing me now, he says, "I don't believe you."
This makes me laugh. "I don't know what you're talking about."
"Then why the fuck are you grinning like a cheshire cat?"
"Hey, don't make fun of cats. That's offensive to them." I elbow him playfully. "Also, I didn't know smiling was a crime."
He chuckles. "You're a criminal. Smiling or not."
"I'm innocent unless proven guilty."
"Okay, you might not be a criminal, but you were never innocent. The crows will turn white before your black heart does."
