Since he's worried for Rose, Wendy, Sweetie-Bot, Yavish, Bramble and everycreture of the Everfree Forest, he senses the A Perfected Black Heart Crystal coming from the direction of the smoke; thinking that the one possessed is Florid that he is running towards where they are to save them all, only for a barrier to be erected all around Ponyville, making sure No Creature gets in or gets out that everycreature is scared looking around as the sky turns crimson red as blood. Shadow looks up and sees Blight Terror floating in midair in his full anthropomorphic form with his arms crossed, wings spread, his golden eyes glowing and smiling evilly imposing as his black feathers are falling. Shadow is shocked to finally meet Blight Terror as the Ancient Alicorn resembles the Original Platinum Shadow known by all as The Fallen; but Shadow maintains his composure as he flies up to meet the Dark Alicorn at Eye-Level.
Blight Terror:

Making you be born into one complete creature was not possible. That is why you were born as twins.

So I assume that it had to pick one to inherit their mother's Harmony Magic and Blood Type while the other Twin would remain unaltered and keep her inheritance from her father.

Final Phase:
Vs. Melodious Somber
As Shadow goes to his Alicorn Form, Luster following Krystal & Flurry Heart's Advice, decided to commission Yona and Sandbar to make her an armor similar to Shadow's but as stylish as the one that the Princesses of Equestria wore during War times that resembles slightly to the Battle Armor worn by Chrysalis except more aligned with Equestrian Culture with a dark purple color resembling her teacher, Princess Twilight Sparkle's Coat. Melodious is disgusted as she is sporting the same armor as Luster, but she shouldn't be surprised because she is Luster's Student in the future, so both wearing the same Battle Armor is not too unexpected but not in this point in the timeline before the start of the 1st Chaos War. From a distance, "Eris", Discord, Krystal and everycreature present are nervous to witness the Power of Shadow's Alicorn Chaos Magic & Luster's Harmony Magic against Melodious Somber, whose Harmony Magic is assumed to be on the same level of Accord, Discord's Alter Ego which is the Personification of Order that almost succeeded in conquering the world. Shadow & Luster knows that Discord's Chaos Magic can Alter the Fabric of Reality, but when he was Accord, his Harmony Magic reinforce the Laws of Absolute Order. Suddenly…something Luster said is flashing back in Shadow's Mind: Serenity's and Radiant's Birth is a Mutation. He wonders if there's more to it besides what Luster said.
The battle begins with Melodious summoning Swords of Light above both Shadow & Luster, forcing them to move fast from getting impaled by them by dodging and running to the sides. Seeing Luster running gives Melodious an idea on how to fight the Unicorn; in the Future, Alicorn Princess Luster Dawn prioritized her flying more than her running, so Melodious decides to take out Luster by attacking her blindspots on her sides, just like when Twilight was learning how to multitasks while flying when Rainbow Dash was teaching her after becoming an Alicorn Princess; and with every attack, Melodious manages to injure Luster to the point the Daughter of Discord awakened her sadistic side as she is enjoying Luster's Suffering. Seeing that Melodious is focusing her attacks on Luster more than him and disturbingly she is enjoying it too, Shadow tries to jump in to help Luster, but Melodious summons a group of Sylphs to stop his advances. Melodious reveals that coming to this timeline, she learned things she would never learn in the future like the summoning spell she just used that was taught to her by Blight. Shadow tries to help Luster, but the Sylphs stops him at every turn. Seeing Luster getting assaulted relentlessly, Krystal couldn't bear it anymore and jumps in to help Luster, but she couldn't as the Sylphs that Melodious summoned were ordered to keep Krystal away from the battle since Ai and Kokoro appear to have betrayed the Daughter of Discord; The Sylphs did successfully stopping Krystal and giving Melodious full reign on making her Future Teacher suffer. As Melodious is about to deal the deathblow to Luster, A Wall of Shadows protects the Unicorn from imminent death. Everycreature wonders who protected Luster since there is nocreature that can Shadow Magic except for one the Pony of Shadows, Limbo; but everycreature wonders why would Shadow & Krystal's Brother save Luster, but Blight smiles while Melodious scorns as they both know that Limbo actually protected Luster from death for a specific reason.
Since Melodious can't kill Luster from a distance, she decides do so up-close and personal. Shadow knows Luster can't win against Melodious without help as the Daughter of Discord was trained by Luster's Future Self, meaning that Melodious would tear Luster apart like paper especially that Luster isn't an Alicorn yet. Shadow desperately tries to reach Luster to help her, but is always roadblocked by the Sylphs at every turn. Melodious finally gets what she always wanted, to unleash her full pent up rage on the one creature that she always felt that wronged her all her life: Her Own Teacher, Luster Dawn. Everycreature, even her own parents were horrified seeing Melodious mercilessly attacks Luster in a very brutal fashion. The Sylphs blocking everycreature from interfering are also horrified, but still do Melodious' bidding as they fear they will be next if they disobey her. As Melodious is about to finish Luster, she gives her future teacher the chance to say her last rites; even though Luster knows she exists in the future, but on how things are going, that possibility is no longer real in her mind that the Unicorn decides to sing a lullaby she made after learning of Celestia's Pregnancy. Melodious is torn as she hears something she never thought she'd hear: the Lullaby Luster is singing is the one everycreature told her growing up is the one who took care of her since birth, Her Very First Nanny. Melodious always believed that Krystal was always her one and only nanny. Realizing this, Melodious has a breakdown that she didn't know what to believe, then out of nowhere, her younger twin speaks and tells her that before arriving in the past, Shadow and Twilight's Oldest Daughter, Nigredo told her everything: When they were born, Krystal was her Nanny and Luster was Melodious' Nanny; but because of her duties as Princess of Equestria during the 3rd Chaos War, she asked Krystal to be your Nanny too. Especially at the end as she needed to direct her full attention in order to rebuilt Equestria along with Shadow as Co-rulers of the Realm. Luster as a Filly starts unpacking her things in her new room in the castle as she is excited to be living there. Luster sees a statue in her belongings, something she doesn't remember owning. But as soon as she picks it up, it pops to reveal that it was Discord. That was their first meeting and just like Stardust treated Twilight, Discord would treat Luster in the same manner. Luster would always find Discord's Antics annoying, but in reality she enjoys his company.
Silver Shoals, A Week Ago…
Discord & Celestia invites Luster to their home and asks her to be their daughters' Godmother. They believe that if Luster is in their lives from the get-go, Melodious would never go after her as she does now as they believe this could slightly alter the Future. Luster accepted it without even thinking it once as they both asked the Unicorn on why accept their offer so willy-nilly only for Luster to admit she values their Friendship.
