The president was telling his story while the kitchen workers distributed sweets and cakes to the guests. When they reached him, they placed a table in front of him, carrying tea, sweets, and cakes.
Chairman: "Thank you. I will have some sweets and tea, and then I will continue the story for you."
After drinking a cup of tea, the president resumed his tale:
The two girls were speaking to the mermaid, saying:
"Oh, beautiful fish, you look like our sister."
The mermaid replied:
"Yes, I am your sister. My place is in the water, and my friends are the fish. Here, there is innocence, calm, lunch, and good voices. Many dream-knights will soon be drawn to me. I don't want to leave this place."
The sisters said:
"Have you forgotten your mother and father?"
The mermaid answered:
"They are under my brother's care."
The sisters cried:
"No! The king has taken them all to prison."
At that moment, the mermaid fell unconscious, and the waters of the valley rose in anger, taking the shape of the ship's captain. He looked at the girls and asked in a fearful voice:
"Who was addressing the mermaid?"
The two sisters trembled in fear, until the tears of a nymph fell upon them. She lifted them onto the shoulders of the ship's captain, while the mermaid stood beside him, her tears flowing abundantly.
She said:
"Do not be afraid. I will avenge my mother and father. We are watching his palace. We will destroy those dungeons, and through the water tunnels beneath the palace, we will rescue our parents. My sisters, we shall meet tomorrow."
