Chapter 231 - Chapter 229

" Yes, Lady Roxanne " Luciana obeyed her command and then waited for Roxanne to finish giving out the rest of her commands.

" Also tell the four Satans to prepare for the upcoming invasion; I reckon those four could at least be able to deal with a situation like this. If these guys cannot even do something like this, then I seriously need to consider finding new candidates for Satans. " Roxanne, said her voice, turning to indifference.

" Yes, my lady " Luciana spoke as she left. While walking, she began to count silently, 3...2…1

"Oh right, Luciana! Please make sure to bring me some sweets when you come back. I'm craving some sugar," Roxanne called out.

Luciana paused at the doorway and could only shake her head helplessly. No matter how much of a supreme, terrifying monarch Roxanne became in front of the world, at her core, she was still the same sweet-loving girl.

"Right away, Your Majesty," Luciana replied with a faint, fond smile before slipping out of the office, leaving Roxanne alone with her thoughts.

Turning back to the large window, Roxanne took another sip of her wine, though her mind was already drifting toward the upcoming battle. The chess pieces were perfectly set, and now it's time to reel in the fish that had taken the bait.

…..

Meanwhile, at the borders of the Heavenly Realm and the outer outposts of Grigori, the sky had completely changed color. The peaceful, golden atmosphere of the upper domains was replaced by a heavy, ominous purple fog.

BOOM!

A massive explosion shook the defensive barriers of Grigori as a horde of mass-produced Grim Reapers sailed through the clouds, wielding giant, glowing scythes. Alongside them were legendary beasts from the Egyptian and Greek pantheons—fiery chimeras, massive stone sphinxes, and shadow hounds—all charging forward like an endless black wave.

"Hold the line!" a Fallen Angel commander roared, his four black wings flapping furiously as he swung a light spear, piercing through a charging shadow hound. "Don't let them breach the main gates!"

Up in the higher skies, watching the chaotic battlefield with absolute calm, stood Azrael. Her expression was deadly serious, her posture radiating the strict, commanding authority of a supreme leader.

Beside her, Azazel, the Governor General of Grigori, was casually tossing a light spear up and down, a relaxed grin on his face. "My, my, they really brought a rowdy crowd today. It's been a while since I've seen this many guests trying to knock on our front door."

Azrael didn't even look at him. She stood gracefully in the air, her long hair swaying gently in the magical wind. With a simple, sharp wave of her hand, a massive magic circle—shining in brilliant gold and silver—expanded across the entire sky above the vanguard.

Whish! Whish! Whish!

Thousands of holy light swords rained down from the magic circle like a beautiful, glittering meteor shower. Each sword precisely tracked a Grim Reaper or a mythical beast, piercing through them in bursts of blinding light. The anime-like spectacle completely cleared out a massive chunk of the invading army in a single second.

"Wow, you really don't leave any fun for the rest of us, My Queen," Azazel chuckled, though his eyes suddenly sharpened as a massive shadow loomed over them.

An enormous, mountain-sized Sphinx, reinforced with forbidden Khaos Brigade magic, broke through the clouds, its golden armor glowing with a dark curse. It let out a roar that shattered the glass of the nearby defensive towers and swiped its massive claw directly at them.

"Allow me to handle this," a deep, stern voice echoed.

Suddenly, the sky crackled with intense, blinding blue lightning. Baraqiel appeared in a flash, his face deadly serious as his massive black wings flared wide. He didn't waste a single breath. Raising his hands toward the heavens, a colossal bolt of lightning—dense enough to shake the surrounding space—slammed directly into the Sphinx, frying its magical armor and leaving it paralyzed and roaring in agony.

Before the beast could even recover, a magical circle glowing with dense, ancient runes materialized right above its head.

"Alchemic Breakdown," Armaros muttered lazily from a few yards away. He was floating casually, adjusting his coat with one hand while using his advanced magical knowledge to completely unravel the beast's composition. In a matter of seconds, the giant Sphinx didn't just die—it completely dissolved into harmless, sparkling dust that drifted away in the wind.

"Tch, you guys are always too stiff. You need to loosen up a bit during a fight," Azazel laughed, completely unbothered by the battle raging below. He crossed his arms, his smirk returning as he looked toward Azrael.

"Baraqiel, Armaros, maintain the defensive perimeter," Azrael commanded, her voice cold and steady, completely cutting through Azazel's playful mood. She looked past the battlefield and toward the dimensional rifts. "This is nothing but a shallow distraction. They are trying too hard to keep our eyes here so they can strike at the palace."

"I know, I know," Azazel replied with a dangerous glint in his eyes, his smile fading into a sharp smirk. "But since our princess told us to put on a good show, we might as well enjoy ourselves. Let's finish up this trash quickly so we can allow our troops. Especially those kids"

Saying so, he and the fallen angel cadres all directed their attention towards a place on the battlefield where…

BOOM!

A massive shockwave violently ripped through a dense cluster of mass-produced Grim Reapers, sending dark energy and shattered scythes flying into the air.

Standing right at the epicenter of the destruction was a young man with sharp eyes, holding a pure black sword that leaked a terrifying, ominous aura. It was Tobio Ikuse, the leader of the Slash/Dog team. Hovering right beside him was Jin, his black-furred hound beast, whose eyes glowed with a feral, crimson light.

"Don't lose your focus, everyone! They're trying to swarm us from the flanks!" Tobio called out, his voice calm but authoritative over the roaring chaos of the battlefield.

"As if I'd let these bony bastards get the jump on us!" a fierce voice shouted back.

In a flash of blinding light, Kouki Samejima charged forward. His Sacred Gear, Gleipnir, wrapped around his arms like heavy, unbreakable glowing chains. With a wild roar, he swung his arms, sending the chains tearing through the air. They wrapped tightly around a massive, charging Chimera, binding the mythical beast instantly before he violently slammed it down into a group of approaching Reapers, crushing them completely.

Right behind them, maintaining a flawless defense, was Natsume Minagawa. Her mechanical five-tailed falcon, Suzaku, soared high above, raining down precise, explosive feathers that created a perfect barrier of fire to protect their blind spots.

"Tobio, the magical signatures from these Reapers are completely artificial," Sae Toujou noted quietly, her eyes glowing faintly as she analyzed the enemy lines from the center of their formation. "They lack actual souls. They are completely mass-produced puppets."

"Which means we don't have to hold back even a single bit," Tobio replied, a rare, sharp smirk appearing on his face.

He closed his eyes for a brief second, drawing out the true depth of his Longinus, Canis Lykaon. When he opened them, the shadows beneath his feet twisted and boiled like a stormy sea, completely engulfing his body.

"BALANCE BREAKER NIGHT CELESTIAL SLASH DOGS," Tobio chanted softly.
