Chapter 26 - So different from his world!

As they both calmed down and realised they were embracing each other, (yep she had hugged him back as some point, rather embarrassingly!) they finally had the long-awaited chat that had been months in the making. Three months they had been working together on this deserted land, jasmine finding unexpected treasures wherever she went, finding many crops of various varieties and then having both of them plant them nearby for easy access.

…Three months of getting to know each other went by, without her telling him much about herself.

She was scared to do it before, but now, she knew she could. When she looked up from his arms she knew it deep down, because she felt that sparks again when he hugged her, she just knew she could trust him!

So, she brought him to the side of the lake and sat him down with a determined look on her face.

Finally, Sophia who had been watching the show this whole time felt like she was about to find out what she had been waiting for, the information she (The goddess) had brought her to see, and she felt like this was crucial for her.

She paid attention to what was about to be said, knowing that what she will learn will start her on her new journey, whatever that was.

"I am from a world called Earthen. It's a planet of cultivation, where they used the spiritual energy of heaven and earth to cultivate..." She paused to take a breath.

"It's energy, is like the mana that you once talked about but maybe not as powerful and explosive… but… I wasn't like everyone else; I couldn't cultivate or form the core needed to cultivate." She sighed at that point.

Althander eyes widened when he listened to her description.

The place she was from was so different from his world!

Cultivation! He wanted to learn more but didn't dare to disturb her at this moment. He felt it was important to let her talk. He could feel she had been through a lot. She explained to him the differences between cultivating Qi or spiritual energy and using Mana the best she could. For e.g. Mana was also made by heaven and earth but it was a different form of energy that could allow the users to wield fire, metal, earth or water or air using an incantation or a talisman. Cultivators could do the same after reaching a certain level however they could also use spiritually energy to form weapons or whilst practicing martial or mystical arts whilst forming a core within their dantian.

This allowed them to become immortal or to attain godhood status, if they were talented enough, and or had lucky encounters that allowed them to progress by leaps and bounds.

She however… couldn't form a core. No matter how hard her tried to. No matter which way, it was impossible for her. She could though, for some odd reason, feel the spiritually energy and absorb it, but she couldn't do anything with it.

The worst part for her was, she always felt a strange need to, no matter what, like a strong urge within her, absorb it.

So, on the fateful day that lead to her being in this strange new world. She was absorbing the spiritually energy as she normally did, when a sudden surge occurred, but it wasn't normal, as spiritual energy from every corner of her city rushed towards her like a surging tide!

It rushed towards her at a frightening speed, akin to a tsunami. It was terrifying. And no matter how she tried to pull back or slow it down to stop the surge, it wouldn't stop. The energy rushed and entered her body and stayed there.

She had no idea where she was storing so much energy, as she didn't have a dantian to store it in, but the energy kept rushing in, to the point her room was awash in fog so dense she was unable to see a hand in front of her face, just solid whiteness.

With this being a cultivation world, it wasn't surprising that everyone was deeply alarmed by this unprecedented situation as something like that had never happened before. Ever.

Before she knew it, she felt a heat that was akin to being on fire. It was painful to say the least and before she could try and get some help, she felt a wave of dizziness hit her. Her eyes started to close and before she was completely unconscious, she saw a flash of bright white light.

The next thing she knows… she was here, in this place, maybe… a new world and on this continent.

This isolated unknown island…. all alone or so she thought.

She made sure to check her surroundings, to be sure she was safe, but then felt something odd.

Something new... it was a weird sensation within her. A tingling feeling inside her head, it started to turn into a throbbing sensation and at that point she started to panic, "Oh my gods what's happening?!, is it happening again?!" she exclaimed. Thinking of what brought her here in the first place.

But then the feeling changed, it wasn't like the feeling she had before she came here, wherever here is. It was a throbbing but almost like a gentle heartbeat. She closed her eye and concentrated on that feeling within her head. Suddenly without warning she saw a flash of white light, even with her eyes closed and then….
