Axel knew that he only had ten days left for the mission Navi talked about. He even asked for more time to prepare, and Navi agreed to extend it to ten days.
His new ability, "Apostle," lets him use his nen in a different way than it is being used.
When the Apostle's ability activated, a flying transparent yellow gown symbol manifested on the right shoulder of Axel, and when this symbol kept showing, Axel's aura output and his aura directly could be used as a shield for protecting himself against physical attacks and aura attacks. The ability clearly adds a rule to it. Which makes it not usable against Nen abilities that are specially created to ignore defenses.
The rule for this ability to be created in the first place is that, as it lets Axel use his aura how he wants to use it to defend himself too perfectly, it makes him weak by 40% when the ability is used.
But there was a catch: Axel did not add any rules, and the Nen power system does not block using other abilities with Apostle.
Which makes it simple for Axel. If Axel used Sealed Origin and Apostle at the same time, his power would only be decreased by 10%, and if he were to use Shadowblood Sickles, because of the power of the sickles as weapons, the drawbacks of the Apostle would turn into nothing.
Basically, Axel used Sealed Origin's passive power increase to ignore the rules of other abilities, a simple cheat that can be used by Axel only because he is able to create several different abilities as long as he wants.
Axel stood in front of the mirror and gazed at his reflection. His black hair fell in messy waves around his handsome face, and his green eyes sparkled with a mischievous glint.
He couldn't help but smile as he took in his own appearance. He knew that he was looking good, and he was feeling more confident than ever before.
"You're looking good, Axel," he said to himself playfully, running a hand through his hair. "I could get used to this."
He chuckled to himself, feeling a sense of pride and satisfaction wash over him. He had worked hard to get to this point, and it was paying off in spades.
Axel took a closer look at his face, admiring his strong jawline and chiseled features. He knew that his looks could be an asset in certain situations, but he never relied on them to get by.
