Sei should have known something was amiss when Serana suddenly wanted to talk to her. With such a serious look on her face, she almost thought her daughter was going to say she was pregnant.
She wished Serana were pregnant. It would have been easier to stomach than this.
"I'm sorry, Mom." Serana was almost on the verge of tears. "I wish it wasn't true, but he said.."
Sei smiled at her and shook her head, showing no visible change in mood.
