As Dean arrived at the cave, he slowly took a look around it to see if he could see any signs of it being previously inhabited. From the entrance of the cave, he could see the end up of it realizing that it was fairly shallow and just enough to set up a temporary camp. While stepping into the cave he stumbled across a puddle as he sees this it finally donned on him that he had not even checked to see if anything about himself or his body had changed. Realizing his error, he took a second to inspect his body to see if there were any major differences. Through this, he was able to realize everything had stayed the same as when he was on Earth, he still had shaggy brown hair that fell to about the middle of his ear, and he could also see that he still had the same hazel eyes that were a mixture of green and brown. He had no way to measure exactly but he felt that he still had the same slim build and was still around the same height of 5"10. Although he hadn't realized it he still felt a wave of relief seeing that there was something constant from Earth to this new world. With this refreshing wave of relief, Dean decided to dive right into checking his status so he could fully understand the situation that he was in. With this Dean tried pouring through different mental commands before finally thinking "Access Records" as soon as he did this the messages suddenly appeared in his mind again this time showing him what resembled a character sheet from a game in his previous world.

After reading over the list in from of him Dean started to question what the levels meant as well as the exp and stats. With this, he decided to try mentally thinking of receiving more information on this and as he did information poured into his mind. In this world either when you defeat monsters or individuals, complete a quest, or perform a task related to your job you are awarded EXP from the Records of The Soul, with this exp you can decide to either pour it into either your job or yourself. With both of these it took ten exp to go from level one to two and then from there it doubled each time. Once a milestone is hit either advancement or evolution could happen. Whenever a level was reached for yourself two free points were awarded to the individual to assign as they please by willing it. Whenever you level up your job the corresponding stats are boosted by one at that time. This usually meant two stats being boosted. You could also raise your stats by continuously performing a task related to that stat finally soul source was a unique stat that was awakened when a soul skill was awakened the only way to raise this was by the continuous use of the individual's soul skill or from rare treasures. With this information now in his mind Dean decided to think about the skills that came with his new job to see if there was anything to help him on his new adventure. With this, a new vision appeared containing information on active, passive, and soul skills.

[Aura of Death Level 1 – Gives off a comfortable aura to undead beings while giving off a slightly uncomfortable feeling to beings heavily centered around life. Enhances contracted undead stats by 10%]
[Eyes of the Soul Level 1– Allows you to see recently deceased souls and catch a brief glimpse of their last thoughts.]

With all the information in front of his eyes, Dean immediately lost the feeling of relief he had and instead had it replaced by both awe and determination to use these newfound abilities to his advantage to make a place for himself in this world. With out of the way the last thing Dean needed to check was the novice job equipment stone. As soon as he did this a bright light flashed before his eyes and turned into two different objects laying on the ground. Taking a look at the objects Dean could see a black robe lying on the ground next to a scythe. As soon as he put both of these on, he could feel them enhance his connection with the mysterious energy in his body. With the newfound determination coursing through his mind, Dean decided to rest for the evening in the cave after eating a ration and head out first thing in the morning to look to use his newfound skills and form his contract if the situation permitted. With the outline of the plan in his mind Dean busied himself with starting a small fire on the outside of the cave before eating and laying down for the night.
