Katsuki stood at the mouth of the hanger; arms crossed over his broad chest while impatiently tapping his foot. He had removed his gauntlets but left his bracers on in the rush to get over here.
"Where the hell is this damn plane!?" Katsuki snapped for the third time. Kirishima looked up from Mina, who clung to him, worry filled her and it showed. Mina was never one to hide her emotions.
Mina frowns looking to the flooring of the airplane hangar, recalling the last conversation she had with you.
"We're going to be back before your party." You promised, phone pressed against your ear struggling to hear anything over the loud roar engine of the plane before takeoff.
"I know you will-" Mina weakly smiled; sitting in the middle of Christmas boxes and bows. "-you always are..."
"I'm sure they are close by." Kirishima reinsured his best friend, bringing Mina back to reality.
"Yeah." Mina shakes her head, agreeing with her boyfriend, this was you they were talking about, you always came back from your missions. "They should be here any moment now."
All Might, Aizawa, Mrs. Okino, Midoriya and staff all stood around waiting for the late flight. Katsuki gritted his teeth, where the fuck were you!? You crash in a fucking plane and have the audacity to be late right now!?
After another thirty minutes, Mina pointed in the air.
"Look!" She excitedly hopped, seeing the small dot forming in the skyline.
"About fucking time!" Katsuki bit, muscles in both his back and arms were tense, the same intensity he felt when walking into battle, he was on edge as the plane painfully landed slow and steady. It took even longer for the C-130 Hercules aircraft to fucking open!
Katsuki exhaled; unaware he had been holding in a breath since the agency. His chest heaved as he broke out into a full-on sprint, unable to wait any longer. The back of the plane didn't finish opening when Katsuki hopped onto it, running on the metal lip.
You wore a smile on your face, watching your pro-hero boyfriend running up to you. You licked your lips, reaching your arms out as he scooped you up in his embrace.
"Fucking Princess-" Katsuki growled grabbing the nape of your neck, gripping it harshly bringing your mouth to his, you were quickly swallowed by Katsuki's tongue going over every inch of your mouth.
"Mmph-" You moaned into his mouth, forgetting the dozen pairs of eyes on your back.
"I was fucking worried-" He breathed, coming up for air, gazing down at you with those glowing carmine eyes of his. Katsuki didn't hear—or didn't care—about the rest of his group making their way over. Katsuki's eyes flickered above your head, instantly sharpening into a glare spotting the four men checking out what was his.
"(y/n)!" Mina waved, jumping up and down, the four men quickly gathered their belongings. Katsuki wrapped a possessive arm around your shoulders leading you off the plane.
"Hey." You breathed, Mina hopped over, pushing Katsuki's arm away as she hugged you tightly. "Are you ok-!?" She broke away. "-are you hurt, or-or-!?"
"I'm fine." You chuckled at her frazzled face.
"Don't lie-!" GunHead yelled over, earning a tight scowl from you, he pointed in your direction. "-the doctor said you have a concussion and need to be off work for at least a couple days!"
"Thank you GunHead." You mumbled. "How could I have forgotten that?"
"What would you do without me?" GunHead waved.
"Have peace?" You retorted.
"How did you get a concussion?" Midoriya wondered, finally getting his turn to hug you.
"It's nothing-"
"You were slammed against the roof of the plane-!" GunHead outted you, once again you shot him a glare, signaling him to shut the fuck up!
"You were slammed against the roof-!?" All Might instantly entered dad mode.
"I am fine." You sighed.
"How-!?"
"The turbulence in a crashing plane is insane!" GunHead laughed off the seriousness of the situation.
"Shouldn't you be going home to rest that leg?" You snapped at him. "Aren't you the one who shot yourself with your own gun?"
"How did you manage that?" Aizawa wondered.
"Oh nothing!" GunHead giggles with a careless wave. "Let's go hun!" GunHead wraps an arm around his wife and takes his quick leave, before too much information was shared to his wife.
You turned to Mina who played with the hem of your jacket, it was an act of comfort she had formed years ago.
"I'm sorry I missed the party." You say to her.
"Who cares about that!?" Mina waves, "I canceled it the second I heard your fucking plane went down!"
"You didn't have to do that-"
"As if I'm going to host a party while my best friend is missing." Mina rolled her eyes.
"I wasn't missing."
"Your plane was missing for like hours." Mina placed a hand on her hip.
"How many casualties were there?" Midoriya questions, salting the mood. You sucked in a breath.
"Eight."
"Damn." Kirishima shook his head. "Was the villain one of them at least?"
"Yeah." You nod.
"Why did that villain do what he did?" Midoriya mutters to himself, you and GunHead successfully dropped the little twat off to the proper authorities, no reason to hide it from them.
"Because the prisoner we just escorted is a key witness in bringing down a high priority drug operation." You answer. "The HPSC wanted us to get him to whatever location they picked out for him. That's why they placed us on the first flight they could find."
"Where did they take him?"
"Don't know-" You shrug, "-that is above my paygrade."
"They didn't tell you?"
"Nope." You shrug, not caring about the missing information. Sometimes the best thing was simply not knowing all the details of the mission, you had been told it was a jail, but that was a lie in case there was a leak.
"And you're ok with that?"
"My part is done." You waved, "I got him where he needed to go."
"Well, we are glad to have you home (y/n)." Aizawa smiles, turning the conversation.
"Thanks." You laugh, "I am ready to sleep."
"I believe that." All Might chuckles, "Come on, let's get you some food then you can head home and sleep for the next three days."
"Sounds like a plan."
It had been a while since you had time to sit down with Aizawa and All Might and just talk. Dinner was something you didn't know you needed; you felt the weight of these past few weeks weighing on your shoulders.
You were happy the heroes of your generation got together and created the Hero Core who stood beside the HPSC and worked together. You loved working within the HC, it was a great way to organize all the heroes, made sure they all got paid for their patrols with any villain caught being an extra bonus, it took the edge off becoming a hero and less cutthroat.
But fuck—You leaned against Katsuki as the dinner slowly began to wrap up, sleep was crawling over you—when your schedule changed to be the opposite of Katsuki was shit began to hit the fan. You didn't see him or anyone for that matter, only the other night shift heroes which was a total of five including you.
It was just you five every night to patrol your sector which was the largest in Japan, the workload was beginning to weigh on you as well as the other four. When you and the other heroes contacted the HC, they said they were working on fixing the issue, there was just a hero shortage and to please remain patient.
You wanted your old schedule back; you missed waking up with Katsuki. Patrolling with him, coming home together, cooking and decompressing together, then you fell asleep in his arms and life felt absolutely perfect.
You agreed to meet with Mina in the afternoon at her place, to help prepare for the upcoming party which she postponed because of you, you felt you owed her this much.
You opened your eyes; dawn was peeking through the windows. You swallowed looking around the bedroom, you don't remember coming home, when you thought about it you don't even remember leaving the restaurant.
You groaned, rubbing your face as you sat up, feeling like your head was filled with helium. You sucked in a breath, if you passed out at the restaurant you were never going to live it down.
You crawled from the empty bed, wondering where your crimson eyed boyfriend wandered off too. It was too early for him to get up, walking into the hallway the sliver of warm light soaked the floor from the closed bathroom door.
You walked sleepily and made your way into the room, the thought of knocking never occurred to you.
Katsuki leaned against the sink, sweat coated his body, heat swam over the surface of his skin, eyes glossy as he jumped, spinning around.
"Damnit-!" Katsuki cursed, having been startled by you. "-what the hell are you doing up!?"
"I have to pee." You groaned eyes practically peeled shut, not noticing Katsuki's aberrant behavior.
"Fucking Princess-" Katsuki breathed, heart pounding against his ribcage as he slid past you. "-hurry up and get back to bed."
"You're so bossy-" You groan. "-why are you up?" Your brain finally kickstarting you turn around, but he had already slipped out of the bathroom. You shrug, turning to the toilet.
"Katsuki?" You called walking around the apartment, having quickly brushed your teeth. You yawned, spotting him in the open kitchen, you went up the two steps, stepping behind him, you wrapped your arms around his torso. "Katsuki..." You hummed, pressing your cheek against his bare back, loving the warmth filling your body.
"Get to bed (y/n)." Katsuki replied, pressing a hand against yours, which was tightly wrapped around his stomach.
"Come with me." You retorted, Katsuki could feel the smirk against his back, he couldn't stop the grin from spreading across his face.
"Fucking needy brat-" Katsuki turned, gazing down at your messy bed head, sleepy eyed expression, he softly cupped the side of your face, "-how do you feel?"
"Tired." You hummed, leaning your face against his touch.
"Yeah-" He nods, not caring you didn't see it. From just gazing at you like this, Katsuki could see you were exhausted, it showed all over your face. "-come on." He pushed himself off the counter, guiding you back to his bedroom.
