Aiden, however, was not intimidated by Lin Bai's aggressive approach, he remained calm and focused as he watched Lin Bai's every move. With his sword held tightly in his grip, Aiden prepared to block the incoming attack.
Lin Bai, using his speed and strength, launched a series of quick and powerful attacks, but Aiden was able to dodge and parry each one with ease. The crowd watched in awe as Aiden's speed and agility outmatched Lin Bai's brute force and speed, Aiden was able to control the flow of the battle, and it was clear that he had a much better control over his body and sword. Lin Bai tried to keep up but Aiden was able to predict his every move. The two warriors clashed swords in a fast-paced and intense battle, leaving the crowd on the edge of their seats.
As Lin Bai realized that his barrage of attacks had not even hit or damaged Aiden, he began to understand that Aiden was much stronger than he had anticipated. With no other choice, Lin Bai jumped back and created some distance between himself and Aiden.
"I didn't realize that you are much stronger than the news I heard about you. But today, I will give it my all, I will not go down without a fight," Lin Bai shouted with determination in his voice.
Aiden replied with a chuckle and a hint of arrogance in his tone, "Hahaha, very well, should I finish this quickly? I hope you can withstand some attacks from me, Lin Bai."
As Aiden finished his words, he suddenly dashes towards Lin Bai with lightning speed. Lin Bai prepared his sword to parry the incoming attack, but before he could react, Aiden vanished from his sight. "Where did he go?" Lin thought, confused and taken aback. But before he could even process what had happened, he felt the cold steel of a sword pressing against the back of his neck. Lin Bai was caught off guard and a cold sweat broke out on his forehead as he realized the direness of his situation. He knew that he was at Aiden's mercy.
Lin Bai, realizing the hopelessness of his situation, dropped his sword and shouted, "I surrender." The crowd was stunned as they watched Lin Bai's defeat, they didn't expect Aiden's counter attack to be so fierce and swift. But soon, the crowd erupted into cheers and applause as Aiden emerged victorious.
"Wow, that was one of the most intense battles I've seen in a while! I can't believe Aiden was able to defeat Lin Bai so easily," one spectator exclaimed.
Another spectator replied, "I knew Aiden was strong, but I didn't expect him to be that strong! I'm definitely going to place a bet on him in his future matches."
A third spectator chimed in, "I've never seen someone with such control over their body and sword, Aiden is definitely a force to be reckoned with in the arena."
A fourth spectator said, "That technique he used, the ability to disappear and reappear behind his opponent, is truly terrifying. And his combat awareness is much higher than Lin Bai's. This Aiden is definitely a force to be reckoned with in the future."
Another one added, "I've heard that he is the son of Five Leaf Royal Kingdom's general, Arthur Blaze, it's not surprise that he is that skilled. He is definitely one of the most promising fighters in the arena, I can't wait to see him in action again."
The crowd continued to discuss and marvel at Aiden's impressive performance as he was declared the victor of the match.
On the other hand, Lin Bai, who had just surrendered, lay on the ground with a defeated look on his face. Aiden, storing his sword back, disappeared from his hand. He looked down on Lin Bai with a hint of mock in his voice, "I didn't expect you to last only one move."
Lin Bai, with a look of determination on his face, said to Aiden "You may have won this time, but don't be too happy yet. I will challenge you again and come back stronger."
Aiden, with a hint of amusement in his voice, replied "Hahaha, I'll be waiting for you. If you can catch up to me in strength, I'll be more than happy to face you again."
Aiden then turned and walked away from the arena, making his way to the second floor where his seat was located. The crowd parted to make way for him as he approached his seat.
As the match ended, Eric sat there with a thoughtful expression on his face. He watched as Lin Bai was defeated and Aiden emerged victorious. He couldn't help but think to himself, "As expected, Lin Bai lost. Combat awareness is crucial in a fight. I should focus on improving mine more if I want to enjoy battling."
Eric was deep in thought when he was suddenly interrupted by a voice.
"Uno, is that you?" The girl said as she approaches Eric.
Eric turned around in surprise and saw a small young woman. He thought to himself, "Just as I suspected, she's here. She's a battle maniac after all, so it's no surprise she's here watching the fights."
"Ughh, Athena, it's a surprise to see you here, I didn't expect a small girl like you to be interested in watching battles," Eric replied jokingly.
"I also didn't expect to see you here, with your appearance, I thought you weren't into battles," Athena said playfully.
Eric's physique gave off the impression of fragility and vulnerability, leading many to believe that he lacked interest in physical combat or was physically weak.
"HAHAHA" Eric laughed and asked in a serious tone, "Seriously, what are you doing here?"
Athena replied, "I plan to join the fight today. There are many people my age at the arena and I want to challenge some of them for fun."
Eric pretended not to know Athena's real strength and said in a serious tone, "Are you serious? With your body, I doubt you could even beat a chicken."
Athena looked at Eric and said with pride, "You know, appearances can be deceiving. Whether you believe it or not, I am actually very strong. You'll see it later hehehe,"
"Okay, okay, I believe you," Eric replied mockingly.
"Hmmp" Athena huffed and sat down beside Eric, as the second match was about to begin.
The second match began with two young men as participants. It was likely that they did not know each other, as the arena also held battles where participants were randomly matched against each other. If a person was not challenging someone specifically, they could also go to the arena for a battle, but they would only be matched with people who had the same streak as them. For example, if a person had five consecutive victories and wanted to participate in a match, they would only be matched with someone else who had five consecutive victories. If there were no other people with five consecutive victories on the ship, the person would not be able to participate in a match.
The second match, while not as suspenseful as the first, was still exciting to watch as both young men performed well. They battled several rounds before a winner was declared.
