There is a certain pleasure in watching enemy aircraft gather on radar screens and then boldly charge towards an empty area of the sea.
An even greater joy comes when, as these planes charge towards a non-existent enemy, you command your own carrier-based aircraft to sink the carriers they took off from.
By the time these planes return, they'll find they have nowhere to land, and seeing the dwindling fuel on their gauges would surely make for some interesting expressions on the faces of those pilots.
This is exactly what Bernard is doing now. He knows that the Dwarves have launched their carrier-based aircraft and is also aware that the direction those aircraft have flown is far from his location.
Meanwhile, his new batch of attack aircraft has already begun launching missiles to attack those vulnerable Dwarven carriers now unprotected by carrier-based aircraft.
