Ling Momo finished washing the dishes, stood on her tiptoes, and placed them in the cupboard above, then pulled out a couple of paper towels to dry her hands. Turning around, she saw the figure standing in the doorway, her heart nearly leapt out of her chest with fright.
Ling Momo tried to calm herself and called out, "Teacher."
Li Qingshen's gaze drifted away from her and with lowered eyelids, he stood up straight, walked to the glass holder, casually picked up a glass, and walked out.
Ling Momo's attention was entirely on Li Qingshen; she clearly saw his steps were somewhat unstable. Worried, she followed him and saw Li Qingshen take a cup of cold water, his fingers trembling slightly as he brought it to his lips and downed it in one go.
The living room was brightly lit, and Ling Momo saw an abnormal flush of red on Li Qingshen's pallid face. She hesitated for a moment but couldn't help stepping closer to him.
