Ling Momo, lost in thought, turned over in bed again, only to find that no matter how she lay, she was uncomfortable. She let out a heavy sigh and sat up in bed.
She just couldn't stand it; she had to go check on him!
Ling Momo immediately threw off her blanket, put on a coat in a mess, and rushed straight to his bedroom.
Fortunately, his door was unlocked. Ling Momo turned the doorknob, and it opened.
Inside the room, a dim night light was on, and the man lay motionless on the bed.
As Ling Momo approached, she saw his face was pale and frightening. He was breathing heavily, his forehead tightly furrowed as if in discomfort.
Ling Momo gingerly raised her hand and touched his forehead, finding it scarily hot.
Her heart couldn't help but twinge in pain. She gently shook his cheek and softly called his name twice, but he showed no response.
