Unlike the Wolf Race from Yesterday's Giant Ship World, the werewolves in the Medieval World are indeed cursed creatures, not descendants with bloodline heritage. An ordinary person might suddenly transform into a werewolf.
Just like the first werewolf Losa ever killed when he "debuted," it was Abelardo from the Medici Family.
Jabri became a werewolf because he once led a raid on a village that worshipped the old gods and violated the Priestess of that old god to death.
The curse from the Priestess at her death turned him into a werewolf with endless evil power.
This was certainly not a blessing. The curse made him manic, arrogant, bloodthirsty, fond of raw meat, and even cannibalistic — it was a gradual process. When first becoming a werewolf, it could be controlled; but once the door was opened, it would slide step by step into the abyss, becoming a bloodthirsty evil beast.
