"I hope they aren't the fleet of the Egyptian usurper."
On the warship opposite, flying the flag of the Lion of Saint Mark, the commander of the Venetian fleet, Captain Nicolo, appeared a bit grave.
Lord Dandolo, the fleet's supreme commander, gave a rather vague order requiring them to delay the Egyptian usurper's fleet as much as possible, yet avoid direct confrontation if possible.
Nicolo could understand Dandolo's concern, after all, the Egyptian usurper had a demon dragon and a council of wizard advisors. Even if their fleet was just a bunch of small boats, they still posed a significant threat.
But to delay, there has to be something to rely on, right?
Just with the crossbow cannons on the ship that could shoot demon-blocking golden crossbow arrows, could they even possibly shoot down a demon dragon like in the novel "Song of Winter and Summer"?
