William, whose physical body was thoroughly shattered and devoured, heard a strong ringing in his ears.
But it wasn't too painful,
as the darkness in front of his eyes quickly turned into a hazy gray fog,
William abruptly awoke on a wire bed covered with dirty sheets, his brain feeling like it had been mashed into pulp, needing to sit on the edge of the bed to gather his wits.
Yet a smile played on his lips.
"As expected, once the physical body dies in the high-rise, the spirit arrives at the Lighthouse Mental Hospital. I'm starting to gradually understand some of the rules within the First Disaster."
Wearing a striped hospital gown, William walked to the door, discovering that the iron door of the ward was completely locked. Just as he was about to use his ability for a brute-force solution,
the nurse met his eyes through the window in the door.
"You need to rest a bit; leaving now could leave irreparable trauma within your thoughts."
