Wen Siyuan closed the book he was reading and got up, walking straight out of the study, really didn't even bother to spare a glance at the other person.
"Stop right there!"
Su Man chased after him out of the study. Seeing Wen Siyuan headed for the living room, she couldn't help shouting, "Wen Siyuan, stop right there!"
But Wen Siyuan didn't even pause; in the blink of an eye, his figure disappeared outside the courtyard gate.
"Wen Siyuan!"
Su Man yelled at the top of her lungs, completely forgetting they were surrounded by neighbors.
As expected, Cai Xiufen heard the commotion coming from the Wen family courtyard and frowned, saying, "And they say they're city folk, but it seems like they don't care about saving face at all."
Comrade Kang: "That comment doesn't sit right with me."
"What's not right about it?"
Cai Xiufen shot Comrade Kang a glare. "Did I say anything wrong?"
"The way you just said it, does that mean us rural folks don't care about face?"
