Suddenly a masculine hand from out of nowhere pulled Fiona backwards from out of the bush.
She didn't hear any footsteps, any crunching of leaves, she felt stupid for letting her guard down after Tiamat tried so diligently to save her life.
Fiona was about to let out a loud piercing scream but the other hand clamped over her mouth and dragged her even closer to the warmth of his body.
"Calm down, it's me," said a battered and weary Tiamat.
Fiona breathed a sigh of relief as she let her shoulders sag in weary resignation into the warmth of Tiamat's embrace.
"Tiamat, you gave me such a fright," Fiona hissed before rushing into his wide open arms.
When he himself winced from the impacted pain Fiona tried to let go but Tiamat wouldn't let her.
Who knows how long they stood there out in the open just simply hugging each other rejoicing in the fact that they managed to survive another ordeal.
