The moment the Clown moved by flapping his wings, Corey's void wings also appeared behind him in that moment, and he vanished from where he stood.

A titanic claw made out of blood, death, and shadows, swung the space where Corey previously was, and everything that was hit by the claw died.
The undead on the ground, the ground itself, the air, and even space died as the Clown's titanic claws killed everything in its path.
How could space and air die?
What did it look like when space and air died?
Well, it looked like absolutely nothing. But if one attempted to cross the dead space and air, they would find themselves gasping for air and also losing sense of their direction.
Corey saw and perceived all of these as he flapped his wings and dodged another claw attack of the Clown.
"Hahahahaha! Where are you going, Corey? Stand and fight like a man! Why are you running away like a headless chicken?!"
