The following day, the sky wore a bright smile on its clouds, as the sky slipping across each other as the sun cracked through their soft forms. Unlike the day before which had been gloomy with the rain that kept everywhere damp.
Seraphina pushed the window of her room open, the damp smell of wet earth reaching her nostrils as she took in a deep breath basking in the morning calmness.
Her fair skin shone under the rays of the morning sun, warm and soothing. Before she knew it, her lips stretched, eyes closed with her heart fluttering in happiness. One who saw her would think she had won a lottery or received early morning flowers.
Tending to her morning needs, she dressed up not wanting to bother Marissa or the maids. She went to the dining room where food had been served. To her surprise, her parents were seated.
What changed? Suddenly remembered they had a home and a daughter to share a meal with?
"Good morning, Father, Mother," She greeted and sat at the table.
