The man, missing the irony, smiled and continued. "You didn't want to waste time regarding your relationship with Emil, so we can't afford to waste time either..."
The words had barely left his mouth when Irina's expression hardened.
Her blood boiled.
"Are you trying to insinuate something?"
The man immediately realized he had stepped somewhere he shouldn't have.
His confidence faltered, and the negotiation suddenly felt as though it were standing on the edge of a cliff.
"No, please, don't get me wrong. We want to combine business with pleasure... We know how Bella feels about you, Ms. Irina, and we simply want to deepen that narrative in the public eye."
He smiled nervously, trying to recover.
