Chapter 9 - TERMINATION MISSION

"Long story short, your mother denied Franklin Baron her heart _ just because she was in love with your father. And as soon as they graduated, your mother couldn't wait to announce her wedding."

Secretary Jamila added:

"But their major challenge was money to buy a wedding gown."

She continued:

"From a poor family to lack of supportive friends, they failed to raise the money yet the awaited day was around the corner. On the last day, with plans to cancel the wedding in pain, it was Franklin Baron who suprised her with one of the most expensive wedding gowns and some good amount of cash just to make your mother's wish come true. Tears of joy began to wet your mother's eyes. "Among all people, Franklin Baron!?" It was unbelievable. He was the last person Monica expected to pull her hand for her wedding to be a success.

Secretary Jamila concluded:

"Perhaps tolerating Franklin Baron is a sacrifice that your mother is making."

Babara Yen narrowed her face and asked:

"How did you know all this?"

She added inquisitively:

"I know you're in the same age bracket with my mother and both of you came to meet twenty years ago when I was a few months old. But we both know she never shares her private life with anyone!"

Secretary Jamila relaxed, leaning back on the headrest and answered:

"Twenty years of me working committedly for your mother as her personal secretary, come on _ me and her have gone to many journeys to earn a little trust. And even though she is stubbornly private, at least she managed to share with me a normal story about her past."

Babara Yen sighed unbelievably:

"Wow!"

But at the back of secretary Jamila's mind, she knew she was lying.

She remembered the moment Jelly Spatters: the vampire bat which planted her in Monica Yen's's life for a confidential mission, sat her down and told her details about Monica's history.

Eagerly Babara Yen asked:

"That reminds me, you've been to Capricon city for business with my mother so many times. How is life there?"

Giving a simple image of her own experience, secretary Jamila excitedly began to tell Babara about the mysteries and beauties of Capricon city.

"Oh, if you're not the private Jet class, trust me you will sort yourself out of it immediately. It is so intimidating to low class. An attractive city with ethereal seven star hotels and food joints everywhere, surrounded by fresh water bodies."

She added:

"Oh, talking about food, I promise you this _ no where you'll find a bad chef: only and only delicious meals you'll ever taste in every joint and hotel you go around the city."

With her love for good food, Babara Yen chuckled as she beamed:

"Delicious food...."

Talking to herself deep within:

"For only this time mother will have to excuse me. I'm going to enjoy all my meals without supplements for the first time. Wow! Leaving home for the first time is going to be the best time of my life."

Babara Yen sighed, leaning her head back on the plane seat cushion excitedly and started imagining herself moving from restaurant to restaurant, tasting different kinds of food and beverages.

Grinning from ear to ear, Babara continued to quench her throat with a glass of Moet.

She sighed:

"It's gonna be fun."

In the clouds above the world's chaos, the mighty white private Jet continued to soare quietly on a silent journey to Capricon.

In order to tame the Vampire Bat beast within her daughter, Monica Yen invested too much of her fortune in research, developing a drug so effective, in form of a medical supplement that she was to give her vampire bat daughter Babara, with a major aim to raise her as any other normal child, since she was to grow up in human communities.

At first, when Babara was still a baby, only months old, Monica used to use a syringe to put the drug into her veins direct, something that happened to be so painful to the little girl. Her tears every time the drug was injected in her veins never allowed Monica to rest. She understood that with time, especially when Babara grows up, it won't be easy for her to accommodate the painful injections. And yet she had to continue with the supplements.

Knowledgeably, working sleepless nights, Monica Yen discovered another easier and effective way to tame the Vampire Bat beast in her daughter far away from injections. She modified the liquid drug into a smooth powder which was to be mixed in her food as a diety supplement. Hence preventing chaos of vampire activities Babara was to cause by the time she grows up.

Growing up on supplements gave Babara no chance to know her true identity. For twenty years of her life she lived under shadows of a normal human being.

Land of Ice territory:

Three mysterious female vampires, besides being Jelly Spatters mistresses, they were well known for their top most hunting skills within the whole realm. And for that matter, they earned themselves a title 'trackers', in honor of their unique skills which surpassed those of other vampires.

Guided by the realm leader Jelly Spatters, it was high time for them to fly out, far away on a journey to the human lands, on a mission to hunt and terminate Monica Yen together with her daughter Babara after secretary Jamila's failure to full fill the assignment.

Jelly Spatters said:

"Like always, humans are never to rely on. I picked her in a desert country starving. I was to bite her neck for a warm blood meal that night but I chose to spare the poor young lady's life. I fed her for days instead. We made a deal where she had to fulfill one assignment for me which she agreed desperately."

Jelly Spatters added:

"I put her on an airplane, flying first class as a deplomat, a very skilled secretary in history from one of the Arab countries. With perfectly forged qualifications, Monica Yen employed her instantly. Little did I know that Jamila was to betrayed my trust. Her mission was clear; terminate Monica Yen's daughter before the age of five. But instead, she turned out to be the most trusted human in Monica Yen's life."

"That was twenty years ago."

Heavy loads of snow falling from above the sky, on a dimly lit frozen land hundreds of vampires witnessed as Jelly Spatters equipped the three mysterious women with Red Venom Potion. To a secret area within the territory, the three women were escorted to meet a portal which was to transport them instantly, a million miles away to the human land to fulfill the termination mission.

Only Jelly Spatters had powers to perform a ritual which could open the portal.

Standing at the portal gate, his eyes as dark as coal, Jelly Spatters turned and looked at his mistresses as he was about to set them off. On gentle footsteps, his black boots stomped the ground, walking quietly towards upto where they were standing. In one of his hands was a golden jar filled with human blood. Into a holly communion cup in another hand he poured and quenched his throat with a single sip first. Then after, he forwarded the cup to them to drink too, one after the other.

Human blood was so powerful that as soon as they drunk it, their skin turned from ashy to glow, bright and smooth like young innocent airplane attendant ladies.

This was also a ritual that gave them extra strength and solidarity.

They all bowed down beneath Jelly Spatters, kissed the giant golden ring he wore on his thumb inform of worshipping and praising his powers. One by one, after bowing to their lord in honour, they headed to the portal where disappeared in a hurricane.

And as soon as they disappeared, the portal closed. He frowned and growled bitterly in his hard-core voice:

"Monica Yen and Babara Yen must die."

Capricon City (slums):

A thoughtful young dude with shining blue eyes and a wide grin, Kevin was. He got up on his feet real quick.

"I'll tend to this."

When everyone saw him standing up, they were intrigued. He went and picked up his scrap old version computer monitor right besides the television where he had kept it.

In an excited voice tone, grandaunt shrugged and said:

"Now that the witch has made up his mind to leave us alone, am going to enjoy my diet."

Distasteful with the joyful gesture and words of hatred her grandaunt kept spitting against Kevin, Pinky put her spoon down on her plate of rice and said:

"Father, isn't it too late now. I think it is safe for Kevin to stay, perhaps until the following day! Leaving late might be risky for his life."

Grandaunt's fear for Kevin was so alarming that it turned into a disaster.

And, just before Pinky completed her full grin, her grandaunt madly got on her feet from the chair and banged the table, opposing Pinky's opinion.
