Other than that, Tom was somewhat stunned; he had never interacted with important figures and had no idea what to do at that moment.
But the effect Lance wanted was not yet achieved, so he simply sat down on the grass, appearing very casual in front of these children.
"Come on! Everyone come here and sit down." Lance gestured to Mary, and the child smartly sat down beside him.
He did not display the usual authority towards these children but became much gentler.
Tom was pretty nervous at first, but quickly relaxed under Lance's guidance.
"Tom, can you tell us about what happened at that time?" Lance began to reveal his real intentions once Tom sat down.
"Aren't you afraid of wolves?"
"I am, but I'm even more afraid..."
With Lance's prompting, Tom began to recount the events, subtly guided by Lance's design, and the other children were quickly drawn into the roller-coaster story.
