William knocked on the office door and finally met the Lord who had been missing for who knows how long.
"Come, sit down." Lance smiled and stood to greet William, who appeared busy and somewhat haggard lately, "You've worked hard, the pressure on public security has been so intense recently."
As soon as William sat down, Fergus, the hound by his side, approached Lance as if it knew him, with a somewhat ingratiating smile on its face, seeming so therapeutic.
"Fergus is really good."
Lance petted the dog's head and offered jerky, Fergus turned to look at William, only after receiving a nod did it gently accept the jerky, its saliva nowhere near Lance's hand.
Then it lay on the ground, beginning to gnaw on the jerky, even using its paws to hold it.
With that clever look, sometimes Lance even felt Fergus was smarter than Boudica, at least it would refuse food.
