The two pieces of equipment exploded out by the summoned demon, whether the [Bloody Blade] or the [Blood Chalice], were both extremely powerful.
The greatsword was still manageable, but the chalice was truly terrifying—its contained power could easily create a Spellcaster who manipulates blood, could even use this to restore the fallen Blood Sect, or revive the glory of that ancient, decayed kingdom.
But obviously Lance didn't care about any of that. What he saw were only two powerful yet dangerous items; if the bearer's will wasn't strong enough, they'd probably drown in the craving for blood.
Power is also a curse...
Lance didn't waste much time before returning to the spot and rejoining Alhazred and the others.
