Robots took over human jobs, from parking attendants and housekeepers to waiters and waitresses, to important government departments like bureaucrats, bank tellers, and police officers. This left humans disabled, unwilling to work and unable to eat, drink, and sleep comfortably.
Out of this concern, ten scientists created a breakthrough. They created a virtual world called Alter World.
A virtual world is the last hope for humanity. In this world, many types of creatures besides humans exist. Supernatural and mystical beings are also real. Angels, demons, and even gods exist in this world.
This world is more than just a game. Previously, this game was the most popular from 2050 to 2090, before being discontinued due to the high number of player deaths.

A scientist named Abe Natsumoto is creating a software program that will allow humanity to access this game from anywhere in the world.
