"I guess I was in Japan, but what about in how I could not hack it in Europe I failed in Portugal I could never be this county's answer to Ronaldo Nazario", answered Toby Makino
Rei thought about that as the pair sat in silence. Rei realised that for however long he could remember, Japan had always paraded a striker who had shown even an inkling of potential. You could even see it now in the so called proclaimed 'Treasure of Japan' Kira Ryosuke, who was tearing up the high school scene and was going to play J-League youth football at the end of the season.
"Are you going to sleep out here in the cold?" asked the old man breaking Rei out of his stupor, "Where else would I go" "you could stay with me for the night if you have nowhere else to go" Toby Makino inquired." You would let me?"
"I would, I have not had anyone visit in about three years now" Mr Makino." Well then what are we waiting for Mr Makino" Rei piped.
And off they went, the walked through the rest of the park to the outskirts of the city to a tiny little village. They took a left, took a right and a left, and they arrived outside a quaint little cottage.
"The bedroom is on the last left door you'll see," Mr Makino answered the question he had in his mind, "Goodnight Rei" grumbled Toby Makino

Rei went to sleep on the futon, which he had not done in a very long time, he had not felt the feeling of a good place to sleep on he went to sleep having great dreams about playing football. Early and bright, Rei woke up feeling refreshed and felt he was ready for whatever life would throw at him. He got dressed into his school uniform and was going to leave with his bag with a sleeping bag.
"Hold your horses, young boy, leave your bag here and jump in the car", declared Mr Makino Rei looked shocked "I thought you said I could only stay here for only the night"," I did say that, however I have had a sudden change of heart and I have plans for you, so I will pick you up straight after school".
Rei agreed to Mr Makino's team, and they drove off to Megariku high school and was early to the school he was about to walk into the library when he heard "Hey Rei you want to go check if the Squad is out" Naruhaya had asked. They then walked to the P.E board, unfortunately the squad was not out yet. They decided to go and play some touch football outside the school.
It was time for school, and it was a quite boring Day for Rei he had his favourite meal a scrumptious bento box in the corner of the cafeteria for lunch and played some football with other boys. Rei scored a couple of goals and gave some assists.
"You will definitely get chosen for the team! ", one pupil exclaimed, "Yeah!" other pupils chimed in. Rei felt pride well up in his stomach.
The rest of the day went on smoothly, and it was time to go to his new home at, Mr Maniko house. His car pulled up his it was a new 2018 Model Tesla S "You ready to go kid", Toby asked. Rei entered the car, and they drove out of school and drove through the city and to the outskirts, where Mr Makino's house was located.
"Sit down, Rei, I need to talk to you ", "You want to play football", asked Mr Makino" Yes" Rei replied. "Well I can help you improve, I know I was not the best striker in my playing days, but I can teach you everything I know", Mr Makino told him frankly." I would like to learn from you, even though you were not the best striker you could have been in your prime but in your youth you were dazzling, and I would like to learn that",
"We will get started, then tomorrow you wake up at 6 am for a five-mile run then you will go to school a learn I will teach you the theories of football then we will do a practical on your finishing and dribbling is that okay with you" declared Mr Makino. "Yes sir"
Rei did his homework and went outside to go and explore the village. He walked around the village looking around the sites. He was walking down the street, and he saw a familiar orange haired boy, it was Naruhaya! "Naruhaya that you!", Rei hollered at him.
Naruhaya looked back and asked him, "You live here Rei" "No man a man I just moved in with a distance relative", Rei lied he didn't want Naruhaya to know he had moved in with the Toby Makino.
"You want to go have a kick about Rei" Naruhaya questioned "You bet", yelled Rei. They walked to the park. They played a little one versus won, Rei won. "Unlucky this time Naruhaya maybe next time pal", teased Rei "Oh I will win next time" Naruhaya announced. They went again and Rei won for the second time, "You were saying", Rei gloated. Naruhaya bet that he would win the next time, but they could not play another game as it was time to go home.
As soon as Rei got home, he went straight to sleep on his futon without forgetting to say "Goodnight Mr Makino", Rei had a great sleep on his bed.
"Bleep! Bleep!"
"Rei wake-up time for our special training" Mr Makino bellowed
Rei realised he had chosen the wrong choice training was gruelling
