It was only nine o'clock by the time Lily and Dylan reached home. It was a good day with warm weather. Reuben and Matilda were spending time with the children in the courtyard.
They walked toward Lily's parents after Dylan parked the car outside. Dylan himself was a reserved person, but it was weird that Lily was also expressionless.
Reuben pretended to be angry when he saw them. "Where did you two go?" "Dad, you can ask him," Lily said cheekily. Reuben turned to Dylan.
Dylan looked sharp in a crisp white shirt on such a breezy day. "Dad, I have followed your order and registered for a marriage certificate with Lily."
Reuben was stunned. "What? When did I ever say that?"
Lily handed their marriage certificate to him. "Please have a look, Mr. Williams."
Matilda took it before her husband did. She had mixed feelings when she looked at the certificate.
