The pretty boy frowned, "Did you meet him or not?"
"Someone came to invite him, but he didn't go."
"Interesting," the pretty boy tossed a grape into his mouth, "I asked you to check his funding sources and identity, have you got any leads?"
The bodyguard shook his head.
"This tricky?!"
The pretty boy shot up from his seat, almost choking on an unchewed grape, his face reddened as he grasped his throat, managing to recover after a few attempts, the flush faded, quickly turning pale, "I got myself a real burden from the desert!"
The woman laughed.
The laughter was light and tingling, the pretty boy grouched, "You heard it all, and you still dare to mess with a guy like that?"
The woman was unfazed, not at all scared, she held the rail to head upstairs when suddenly, the sound of a screeching brake came from outside. She bent down to look out, seeing an open car door, and a man stepping out with increasingly menacing steps.
