The visible and underground casinos in City G were divided into two factions: one was the Lan Family Clan, and the other was Dark Snake. In recent years, the Lan Family Clan had gradually moved out of City G, and Dark Snake had taken over many of their casinos. When the Lan's people came knocking, he either paid them off or returned territory, always greeting them with a smile. The two sides were evenly matched and had never truly clashed, although they had exchanged many secret tricks and schemes against each other in private.
The Lan Family rarely benefited from dealings with Dark Snake.
