Present life, Two best friends hugging so tight like two lost a material returned to owns owner. They never wanted to leave themselves for a second, the fear of never seeing each other again baffled them. They hold on to each other trying to find relief from one another.
"I missed you Emily, alot" Ryan said still hugging her as fresh tears came out of his eyes
"I missed you too Ryan, I missed you a lot" She replied still in his arms, weeping as well. They pulled back a little as Ryan hold her cheek carefully
"You've grow so beautiful my baby girl" Ryan teased slowly and smiled at her
"Really Ryan?.. I'm not s baby girl again, I'm a big lady" She teased back as tears flow slowly from her eyes
"But you will always be my baby girl" Ryan said softly
"Ryan, where have you been since?" Emily asked
"Have been searching for you too Emily, I thought you were dead.. I looked for you went I got back with two people to help you but I could not find you or your dead body.. Emily I looked for you" Ryan asked crying silently
"Ryan, you left me there.. I waited for you for so long but you didn't come back." She said crying too
"I came back Emily but I didn't see you" Ryan replied
"You know that day Ryan, I hold on for so long that my hands were very weak so I fell but not on the floor.. Someone saw me screaming for help so she arranged some beds thet fell on, i really fell but I didn't hit my head on the floor but the shock got me unconscious for two days and so I woke up in the hospital" She narrated softly
"And you didn't come back for me?" He asked
"I came back, like I struggle to come back to you cuz they I heard a never strange news that got scared and I needed my best friend so I ran away from the hospital to your house but the gateman didn't let me in.. I screamed your name, maybe you can come out and take me inside so I can talk to my best friend but your Mom came and that was it" She said and stopped
"Continue Emily, what do you mean that was it?" He asked curiously
"Your Mom pushed me out like a dog.. she screamed at me and hit me in my stomach and swear she's going to kill me yet I struggle but what killed me that day was when she told me, you have travelled out of the country and away from me because you don't want to be find guilty for my so called death.. I was disappointed in you so I followed my new family to another country" Emily explained slowly
"You mean my mom said that to you? like you cane to my house and my mother did not tell anyone not even my father? You mean that witch did that to you and she pretended as if she knew about it? That day Emily, I came back to meet but you were gone. I saw my mom standing in front of the building Emily. She took me home and I locked myself in my room for three without eating anything cuz I thought I lost you but my mom suddenly arranged my passport and I left the country.. she didn't say anything" Ryan said softly
"Maybe it skipped her mind" She replied slowly
"No don't you dare defend that woman.. did I tell you that I ended up in the hospital the third day that I did not eat or drink anything and I was sick to the point of death and yet she kept quiet" Ryan asked angrily
"We will talk about this later Ryan, thank God I find my best friend.. how are you?" she said, trying to change the topic but who is she deceiving?
"I promise I will call you but I need to settle some score before I lose it and you know me more to understand that Emily?" He said curiously
"Yes Ryan, I know you will feel so sad" Emily replied
"I'm glad I found you Emily" He said And hugged her again. he left and drove angrily to his parent's house
He got home and shut the door of his car angrily and marched majestically into the house.
"Mom!!!!.... Where are you?" He screamed. Jessica ran out from the room with her husband
"What happened Ryan?.. are you okay son?" Jessica said curiously
"Who is your son? no tell me who is your son? the son that you kept secret from or what?" Ryan replied rudely
"Ryan talk slowly please, she's till your Mom" His father said gently
"No dad, I respect you alot and I hate myself when I disobey you.. Dad please, let me talk to this wicked woman" Ryan replied angrily
"Ryan what have I done for you?.. I should be angry with you cuz you just left the event just like that and you destroyed everything so I should be the one screaming at you not the other way round" she said
"What are you saying?.. the event that to arranged for yourself and I obeyed because of dad" Ryan replied
"Ryan tell us what happened? why did you leave like that? and what happened to you?" Mr Collins asked
"Dad did you remember my best friend Emily?" Ryan asked his father curiously
"Yes that baby girl, I remember her.. did you see her?" He said smiling happily as he clapped his hands
"Ask mom why she arranged my travelling quick?" Ryan said looking at his mother with anger
"Why did you force me to arrange his ticket quick Honey?" Mr Collins asked curiously
"Are we going to talk about the past?.. and what could be another reason I sent my son to travel out? cuz of his wellbeing and I want the best for my only son honey. that's all Ryan " She said gently
"Really? you make me laugh.. did you or did not see Emily before I travelled mom?" He asked her
Jessica put her hands behind her neck gently and looked down in shame
"I did it for you Ryan and I only want the best for you.. Believe guys, I love you Ryan that was what made me do it honey" She replied trying to defend herself
"Do what?.. really?.. is that love or selfishness?" He challenged his mother quickly
"Ryan explain, I don't understand all this" His father asked curiously
"Dad, I left the event after collecting the necklace I saw with Monica, one of the contestants. she described where I will find the owner, her twins sister that I knew before so I went to her and luckily I found my long lost friend that I thought she's dead" Ryan replied angrily
"Really Ryan? you saw Emily? she's alive?" His father asked happily
"Yes dad, I was shocked myself and happy as well just like you are but when she narrated how she came to my house and my mother here chased her out like a dog and told her that I travel because I was trying to cover up the guilt of her death while I was busy killing myself in the room because I was feeling guilty. My mothee was busy chasing the reason for my guilt. Why mom? Why did you hate that girl so much that if it means making your own son to remain sad forever.. you could go to that extent. Why?" He asked his mother, raising his voice s little
"I don't want to hear anything from you or give anybody an explanation for that stupid girl.. I wish I never met her" She said and And walked out angrily to her room, took her car key and left the house.
Ryan looked at his dad shocked but his father hugged him instead to calm him down
"I swear that if Mom do anything funny this time, I will forget that she is my mother and that she gave birth to me. That I promise you dad" He said coldly
"I won't stop you this time som, you know what's right but don't do anything that you will regret later but use wisdom.. don't let her take the advantage that she's your mother and she cane do anything with your life Ryan.. Apply wisdom to this matter" His father encouraged him gently
"Yes dad, I will.. thank you" Ryan replied happily
"Are you happy you found your friend?"He said trying to change the topic and it worked cuz Ryan's mood changed immediately
"Yes dad, very happy Dad" Ryan replied smiling
"I would love to see her too son" His father said happily, smiling at his son's happiness
"Alright Dad, I will surely bring her for you" He replied as his father patted his shoulder gently and went upstairs. Ryan left the house to his car and drove off
