"Bang bang bang!!"
"Hey, Paimon, you bastard who deserves a thousand cuts, where the hell are you hiding?! If you don't come out I'll smash your damn doghouse to pieces, awoo!"
Fisher had no idea how long he'd been staring at Helair—several minutes, over ten minutes, maybe even longer—until a series of violent banging noises and Elliog's voice came from the wall beside them. Only then did he finally move his gaze away from Helair, who seemed to be sleeping sweetly right in front of him.
Helair didn't move at all, as if she hadn't heard a thing. Only the fingers Fisher was holding trembled slightly, silently telling him that this one was awake.
Fisher glanced in the direction the sound came from, then spoke softly,
"Elliog is outside."
"..."
Helair still maintained that sleeping face without moving, like a little bird curled up inside its own wings, motionless, as though she'd long since sunk into a deep Dream.
