Chapter 278 - CHAPTER 320: On a Silver Platter (I)

Check out my Marvel fic 'Marvel: Death Dealer'. It's under a different account name 'ImPerfect' since it won't have many milfs 😔

....

Kazuya hadn't thought it would turn out like this. He only planned to scare them into running with their tails tucked. Somehow it transformed into Yoruichi trying to cover Soi Fon, and Soi Fon having this herculean misunderstanding.

Now that things had blown to this proportion, he couldn't reveal himself to Yoruichi. She would absolutely hold a grudge for this.

'Did I fuck up?'

{You sure did.}

"Sorry…" Tsubasa profusely apologized. "It's all my fault."

'It's fine. I'll sort it out.'

He could endure almost anything except falling out of his lovers' grace. The easiest way to get himself out of these deep waters was to rely on his lovers.

'Let's leave it to Sung-Sun. She always knows what to do.'

{Snake supremacy.}

Yoruichi stood confused. She couldn't understand why Kazuya, who'd just threatened them, was showing no intention to take their heads.

Kazuya took a step toward them, his spiritual pressure rolling out like a tidal wave. The two felt breathless until he withdrew it.

"It's your fortunate day, Soul Reapers. The Queen has just relayed a new command to me to not antagonize Shinigami any more. Reino Sereno will not be hostile towards Shinigami, unless your faction takes the initiative to attack us."

Yoruichi let out a long breath, her shoulders relaxing just a bit. "Well, give my regards to your queen."

Soi Fon seemed a little confused. "Who is your queen? Can you explain why there is a war happening between Hollows?"

Yoruichi knew the answer to Soi Fon's questions, but she remained silent.

Kazuya turned around. "You can pose these questions to the Queen herself. She has summoned you both."

He started walking toward the entrance of Las Noches, which would soon be destroyed and rebuilt into Reino Sereno (Serene Kingdom) — a name chosen on a whim, then everyone tacitly approved of it. Reino Sereno reflected Harribel's simple but near-impossible desire.

His demeanor looked calm and uninhibited. Only he knew how tense and ready to act he was to maintain the lie. If the two refused to comply, he might have to beat them up, which he naturally didn't want to.

Soi Fon glanced at Yoruichi. "Do we?"

"We don't have a choice. I'm also curious what this Queen wants from us."

While Yoruichi acted calmly, Soi Fon was anything except calm. A fierce killing intent gleamed in her eyes. She hated being pushed around, even more so when it wasn't Kazuya doing it. At least he never meant her harm, even if he was infuriating.

"Liar," Suzumebachi said. "You tolerate him because it's the only way to get his attention."

'Shut up!'

Suzumebachi could only let out a sigh. She could not convince Soi Fon. Only Kazuya could.

They followed Kazuya into a spacious chamber in Las Noches. A large table dominated the room, surrounded by a handful of chairs. It was a place meant for meetings and decisions.

"Wait here," Kazuya said in a voice filled with authority. "The Queen will be here shortly."

He left with a few words, maintaining his mysterious image that neither of them would ever connect to him.

Yoruichi dropped into a chair and gestured to Soi Fon to do the same.

Soi Fon kept gazing at Yoruichi, complicated emotions brewing in her heart.

She had undergone strict training from the day she was born into the Fon family, one of the lower noble houses affiliated with the Shihōin noble house. Their ranking was rather low compared to Shihōin, but their fame for producing excellent bodyguards, attendants, and assassins had long spread throughout Soul Society.

From the moment she could walk, Soi Fon had been meant to serve Yoruichi. Naturally, her training intensity and scope was brutal to fit her status as a princess attendant.

They taught her how to walk, how to sit, how and when to speak, how to bow at the perfect angle, how to fight, how to assassinate, how to move like a ghost and hide like a shadow.

Afterwards, they drilled into her how to dress her mistress with care, how to serve tea just the way her mistress liked, how to prepare everything before being asked, how to stay close enough to protect, yet never get in the way.

How to be a perfect… attendant and bodyguard.

After Yoruichi left Soul Society, however, Soi Fon buried those lessons deep. These teachings became useless when her mistress was no longer with her.

She had convinced herself that these lessons had become obsolete.

And she drilled new convictions in her bones.

She chose to be loud.

She chose to be bold.

She chose to swing her fist first then ask questions later.

She chose to never be servile to anyone, not even to her family.

She chose to be a sharp dagger of her own, abandoning her whole identity as the sword and shield her family raised her to be.

Now, all those 'forgotten' lessons came rushing back.

Soi Fon took a steadying breath and knelt, her head lowered at the perfect angle. "Yoruichi-sama, please accept me as your lowly attendant."

Yoruichi blinked, surprised. "You—what did you say?"

"Yoruichi-sama, accept me as your protégé again."

Yoruichi narrowed her eyes then the corner of her lips twisted slyly. "Ah, so you've forgiven now. How kind of my servant girl to forgive me."

Soi Fon's face turned red as she remembered all their interactions since the reunion. Rather than celebrating, she had chosen to defy Yoruichi at every turn, even going as far to challenge her to a deathmatch. Had Yoruichi been a typical noble princess and Soi Fon a typical attendant, Soi Fon would have been put to the guillotine by now.

"Yoruichi-sama, I'm sorry…" Soi Fon pleaded in a mosquito-like voice. "I, I swear on my name I'll never disobey Yoruichi-sama even if you wish for me to kill myself."

"That's the bare minimum for serving this Shihōin princess." Yoruichi snorted, acting like a typical snob princess. "How do you plan to redeem yourself?"

Soi Fon looked up, a fierce glint in her eyes. "Give me your command, Yoruichi-sama. I'll fulfill it."

Today, she was determined to regain her position as Yoruichi's attendant even if she must die in the process. She'd rather die as Yoruichi's attendant than live as one who betrayed her mistress.

Yoruichi flicked her hand, gesturing her to get up. "I have only one requirement: loyalty—"

"I will obey."

Yoruichi pursed her lips. "Let me finish first."

Soi Fon blushed, realizing her rude mistake. "I-I apologize."

"As I was saying, I demand loyalty—absoute loyalty to me and Kazuya."

Soi Fon's eyes widened. Soi Fon's eyes widened. Loyalty to Yoruichi was never in question, but loyalty to Kazuya was a completely different matter. When she thought deeply, Yoruichi's decision started to make sense in her mind. Her mistress' relationship with Kazuya was official in all except name. She wouldn't even be surprised if Yoruichi suddenly said they already had their first night together.

Soi Fon lowered her head in compliance. "From now, Yoruichi-sama is my mistress and Kazuya… sama is my master."

The word 'Kazuya-sama' barely rolled off her tongue.
