"How was last night?"
I narrowed my eyes to look at Noah when he asked this the next morning.
The look on his face made it clear that he already knew what had happened, or at least had a very good idea of what happened.
It would have been strange if he knew exactly what happened, but for him to know the general gist…
Seeing the way that I looked at him, Noah said, "When they're preparing all that, it's hard for me not to know about it. I just never thought that they would have a chance to use it so soon."
I couldn't help revealing another bitter look when I heard this.
It wasn't that I was angry with Noah for not telling me about what happened, it was that I was angry that he didn't stop some of the more particular things that they prepared. Since he knew about them, he should have been able to stop them if he wanted to.
The fact that he didn't was more than enough to prove that he was enjoying my suffering.
