Arthur and Okita had been trekking through the dense forest for hours. The sun was starting to set, casting an orange glow over the trees. They had been searching for the artifact that would help them defeat Genghis Khan, but so far, they had found nothing.
Arthur couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched. He glanced around, trying to catch a glimpse of anything suspicious. But the forest was still and quiet, and he couldn't see anything out of the ordinary.
"Okita, do you feel that?" Arthur asked, stopping in his tracks.
"What do you mean?" Okita replied, looking around nervously.
"I don't know, it's like we're being followed," Arthur said, scanning the area once more.
Before Okita could respond, a voice echoed through the forest. "You fools. There is no artifact. You have been tricked."
Arthur and Okita spun around to face the source of the voice, and their eyes widened in shock. Genghis Khan was standing before them, a wicked smile on his face.
"You won't get away with this," Arthur growled, unsheathing his sword.
Genghis laughed. "What are you going to do, boy? Your powers are nothing compared to mine. You are weak and powerless against me."
Arthur charged at Genghis, swinging his sword with all his might. But Genghis easily dodged the attack and struck back with a blast of energy, sending Arthur flying backwards.
Okita tried to attack, using his new power of time manipulation, but Genghis was too powerful. He knocked Okita to the ground with a single blow.
As Arthur and Okita struggled to get back on their feet, Genghis continued to taunt them. "You are nothing. You will never defeat me."
But then, something strange happened. Genghis began to weaken, his energy draining away. It was then that Merlin appeared, casting a protective spell around only their base.
"Genghis Khan, you have trespassed on our land. Your life force will be drained until you leave," Merlin said, his voice echoing through the forest.
Genghis snarled, but he knew he couldn't fight against Merlin's powerful magic. He turned and fled, disappearing into the trees.
Arthur and Okita stumbled back towards Merlin's base, exhausted and shaken. They collapsed onto the ground, breathing heavily.
Merlin appeared before them, looking worried. "I'm sorry, my friends. I didn't know he would follow you."
"It's okay, Merlin," Arthur said, trying to catch his breath. "We'll find a way to defeat him."
Merlin nodded, but Arthur could see the doubt in his eyes. They were no match for Genghis Khan, not without me.
