After finishing up my conversation with Qian Renxue and Bibbi Dong. I got cleaned up and teleported over to the ORC building. Where I was quickly brought up by Koneko into the meeting room where the rest of Rias's peerage and Grayfia was.
"So what's going on? I heard you needed a major favor from me Lady Grayfia?" I spoke respectfully as I wasn't sure what was going on currently.
Grayfia was very beautiful, but as as she spoke my easy-going smile respectfully attitude faded as Rias herself looked rather awkward at Grayfia's 'demand'.
"So what are you saying... Is that because Rias has me in her back corner, and is actually training hard. Riser is pushing himself and his peerage to their utmost along with recruiting another Ultimate class entity to aid him in whatever Rating Game comes for their engagement."
"And in order to give Rias an edge for such a Rating Game... That mind you hasn't even been set at all. You are 'asking' me to take Rias and her peerage to another world to use the time dilation to get a lot of training in."
I brushed a hand across my face before I said, rather bluntly. "I literally just got back from a training trip that had me stuff the equivalent of three Longinus's into my soul and four... Four gods into my soul that are even now listening to this conversation."
I shook my head and said frankly. "I could consider taking and dropping them off for them to do some training, as I do my own stuff. But I am done training for a week at least."
There was a pause as Grayfia stared at me after my rant and I could tell she was assessing me. Considering her options as Rias gently leaned over and grabbed my knee and said softly.
"I am sorry this came out of the blue, Jake. I don't want you to think I am trying to use you... But Grayfia showed some videos of Riser's peerage training, and if they get a month or more of time to do more of this insane training. They will be too strong for my own peerage to handle at all."
I sighed with some actual annoyance before I said flatly. "And why can't I just crush Riser in the Rating Game?"
To which Grayfia said rather bluntly. "Because you won't be able to crush him during such a Rating Game... He has recruited Ishtar by promising a large amount of worshippers to be delivered to her cult via healing a large amount of people using diluted Phenex Tears."
My face twitched as Akeno added on. "Just because Ishtar is known to be a... Promiscuous entity, that doesn't mean she isn't strong. She is a War-Goddess after all."
I brushed a hand across my face before I said tiredly. "I am not scared of a washed-up whore who is close to Fading as a goddess. Still, I will consider it. Give me a week to get my things dealt with, and I'll get a chance to relax before I take you all anywhere."
'If I decide to do it at all.' I mused to myself as I was going to make Sirzechs sweat if he wanted to run around and play games in this Rating Game between Riser and his beloved little sister.
Grayfia then spoke again in a quiet drawl. "Alot hinges on this engagement for better or worse Jake Bariss... I need an answer to take back to the Lucifer of your decision."
And I gave her a bland look as her power that leaked out wasn't at all a threat to me, as my hair turned white with Xu Nue's essence leaking out of me as she stepped out of my soul to look upon Grayfia, who stiffened at the Spirit Beast's goddess.
"I have a question, actually, are you here as Rias's sister in law... Or you here in the capacity of Lucifer's Queen?" I asked bluntly.
There was a pause as Rias and the rest of her peerage truly picked up the core of my question and then Grayfia said rather bluntly. "My current appearance is a result of more political pressure... As you and other mages interfering in Rating Games is one thing as you have Magician Contracts so your strength is part of your linked devil's peerage basically."
She then scowled and said with finality. "But bringing in a foreign god? One whose Pantheon we have... A very rocky past with? That is something the Satan's do not want to see."
"So the goal is to train Rias enough so she and her peerage can smash Riser's peerage, which are likely even getting training from Ishtar as well." I mused before I shook my head and said with finality.
"Give me my week of peace. I have a lot to take care of on my end and then we can see what we can do." And then I gave Rias a nod before I summoned my sycthe to cut a hole through the wards and space to teleport away.
As I could feel the powerful wards that Grayfia had activated when I came in to dissuade casual teleportation and the invasion of any familiars.
Still, with Xue Nue flexing her appearance for a time, that was also a warning to Grayfia and Sirzechs behind her as well. Though on the other hand... Bibbi Dong was also likely going to be able to match Serafall as well.
And a certain Silver Dragon King would be able to match Sirzechs himself as well.
