Chapter 107 - Ch.109 The dragon of the Dungeon

As Ryuu walked through the dungeon he came about the various beautiful places inside, every single floor was different than before and had a different specialty. if not for this being a dungeon and a dangerous one at that it would have been a perfect tourist destination.

After an hour of moving through the dungeon, he reached the fourth floor and was currently looking at the vast beautiful lake in the middle of it. All the monsters here had already died so didn't have to worry about anybody disturbing him.

Thinking that it would be a great place to visit with the kids and Shizu, Ryuu continued on his way, undisturbed by all the monsters present in the dungeon.

...

...

While Ryuu was having a great time in the dungeon and was taking his time the adventurer's party that came after he entered was an entirely different subject as they rushed through the dungeon with full force.

Killing all the monsters that came their way, in a matter of an hour they had reached floor fifteen and weren't slowing down as they continued to move forward.

The C ranks behind them seemed to have become more sluggish so seeing this the B ranks guarding them gave a signal to the healers who cast a weak stamina regeneration spell on the group.

However, it didn't make that much of a difference as they were forced to work like slaves and collect all the monster's parts on a floor in a matter of minutes. It was good that there were at least fifty of them so the work was quite quick.

The trio was also there collecting the monster's parts while trying to find a way to escape but didn't find any as the B ranks were like a hawk locking them on their sight.

"Be happy that you are even allowed to participate in this glorious event." They would say whenever somebody complained to them and then punch the complainer.

...

After some more hours of traveling, Ryuu had reached the tenth floor and was currently enjoying the view of all the crystals protruding out of the walls. They were of many colors and were giving a bright glow making them the only source of light on this floor.

Saving the view in his memories and chatting with True Sage he made his way toward the deeper floors wanting to witness what lies ahead of him.

..

After some hours of being in this cave, they had finally cleared the seventieth floor and now were taking a break. After finding the shortcut on the twentieth floor they entered the seventieth floor and quickly started to fight all the monsters present here.

They are resting here for a while as some of the fighters have started to show signs of fatigue and the many mages were also short on mana. All the C ranks were completely spent and were resting in a corner of the cave.

They had lost all hopes of escaping as the shortcut was only a one-way one so they are currently trapped here. After all with their feeble strength, there is no way they will be able to escape.

Well all of them had lost hope except the trio who were still trying to find a way to escape. They thought they would get their chance when everybody was resting but the A+ rank mage cast a wide-range monitoring spell on the floor so they would be found out the moment they tried to escape.

...

Currently, Ryuu was sitting on a small boulder while cooking some food for himself, as he kept all the ingredients with him he didn't need to hunt monsters for food.

He had reached the twentyth floor and decided that he would make the camp for today here as from his calculation the day had already turned into the night above the ground.

This floor was mostly composed of hills so after climbing the biggest hill on the floor he set up his tent and started to cook his food.

After eating the hot and delicious he decided to call it for the night and after changing into his night outfit he laid down on his bed.

After going through all the adventures he had here and remembering the face of his sister and Yukino he closed his eyes and slept.

Even though he didn't need sleep technically as his body could function properly even without it, he decided to sleep as it was quite a noble experience in this hectic world.

...

Currently, the adventurer party had reached the ninetieth floor and were on their way to completely clear it. Finally, after a while, they killed the A+ rank monster off the floor and got ready to rest for some hours.

Those wounded either were healed by the healers or were drinking a health potion, hunger had struck all of them after the entire day's worth of fighting against the monsters.

After taking out some slabs of meat they started to eat it, although it wasn't delicious it still filled their stomach. They looked at the three A+ rank adventures with jealousy as they were eating some sandwiches and beers.

However, none of them voiced their objection as they were way weaker than them so could only look at their food from afar.

As for the trio, they were currently eating the food Ryuu had packed for them, of course, they were doing it secretly so nobody found out about it.

They had also given up running as moving without the group would be suicide for them even with their full strength. They could only pray that nothing bad would happen and they would be able to get out of this bind unscathed.

After some hours of resting, they got on the move again as all of them headed to the next floor. Finally, after half a day of traveling, they finally reached the ninety-ninth floor and killed the four wolves guarding the entrance to the final boss room.

The leader of the party came to the front and started to give his speech as all the adventurers cheered with him. On this expedition, they had already lost two A-rank and five B-rank adventurers but none of them seemed to care.

The trio knew that they were currently in the same boat as the adventurers so they just prayed for their success.

After an hour of rest, they finally got on the move as they made their way toward the final boss with beastly-like smiles on their faces.

As they made their way there they entered the room through the gap in one of the walls so they jumped down and touched the cold hard surface of the room. Getting in formation they got ready for any battle that will come their way.

The room was dark and silent with only the sound of their breathing and heartbeat being heard but as if to break that silence, they heard something moving in the distance.

A giant draconic eye opened in the farther corner of the cave, with the majestic golden color spilling out from its eyes it looked at the intruders that had invaded its home.

A huge might of dragon fear and dragon haki burst out of the dragon as it pressed down on the adventurers. They felt as if they were holding the sky itself, and most of them fell to the ground unable to move due to fear.

All of the C rank present there died the moment the aura made contact with them, it seemed like their bodies had collapsed from the inside. Well, the trio were alright as they were far stronger than a C rank adventures, that and the protection Ryuu had applied on them.

Looking at them the Dragons eyes became uninterested as it gave them the treatment it had given to all of those that came before them.

Closing its eyes and sleeping the dragon released a small amount of flames but that small flame quickly grew entirely covering all of the floor.

All of the adventurers died without even being able to scream as they were burnt to nothingness, the dragon thought that it had killed all of its enemies when it felt the life force of three people.

Opening its eyes the dragon looked at the three beings who survived its initial attack, but it again got disappointed looking at the figure of three collapsed adventurers.

They seemed unharmed so the most likely reason for their loss of conciseness is pure shock. Some remains of magicule floated around them, most likely from a barrier through the dragon.

Seeing that they weren't making any movement the dragon got ready to finish them.
