" Because he looked sad," Lynx exhaled the answer.
It was only a second of pause, but to everyone who heard, it was a stretched out silence, the words hung in the air, maybe seeking attention.
" Maybe he did want to kill his father and if so I understand why. I wish Quil had a different father, because his father was very useless," Lynx voiced meeting the Investigator's eyes and then he looked straight at the secret mirror long and hard.
Within a few minutes the investigation was over and he was sent back to the academy. Upon arriving in his dorm all the others were in the sitting room waiting for his arrival.
"How did it go?" Ash asked first.
"It was okay,"
"Did they do anything?" Aiden questioned evidently worried.
"No,"
"The fact that you both are woven into this matter proves there might be something going on and you might be under constant surveillance for some time," Alfrid spoke.
"Alfrid," Aiden called to stop the boy from mouthing his sharp tongue.
