Gustavo walked into MF with Klein who was briefing him on the news and eventually going on in the company. Its been a week since Valentine's Day and he was working non stop. Fortunately the college competition was on going giving him time to focus on company's matters
"Sales is slightly better with the new designs however we still lack exposure" Klein explained as they boarded the elevator which always seems to amuse Gustavo
Gustavo contemplated this too, changing designs was pointless if on one knows, although Reginald invested in MF its more of a closed door investment which would be revealed later on.
" We don't just need a huge socialist or line of influencers, they best they can do is to give it to their followers. I mean what would make it different from other huge brands" Gustavo asked as they walked into his office
" We're a brand majoring in Accessories and Comestics, we have to give them a reason to choose us, Let me ask you what makes us different other the other brands"
" Determination?"
"That and Innovation. People are always saying replace the old with the new. We were mainly of Vintage designs , why not use it to our advantage, our new designers are equally skilled to the task. Instead of a stark separation we have a collision. And then adding tech to it would be the icing of the cake. A brand that suits all tastes at once"
" You know, this is actually a greate idea, let's see what we can build with it ohh am already seeing the glorious future" Klein said as he dashed out to discuss with other department heads with newly found vigor
Gustavo smiled as he watch Klein figure move away, although the true reason he was ensuring the ultimate success of MF was to use it as a weapon against the two families, he still felt bit happy seeing the employees joy over their company's growth. His battle against the families was his alone and he had no desire at all to involve anyone else.
Directing himself back to his work, he had to final the contract with Reginald's as it was a sensitive and private investment and then look up on the newly found branch in City K.
It wasn't until his phone lit up like a Christmas tree did he realise it was on mute and he had many missed calls from Theo and Ned. He didn't even realise how late it was, he vaguely remembered Klein waving him off but that was hours ago
Popping his pills into his mouth with a glass of water , he suddenly remembered how living under the Fisher's lab was, now he could see and touch the things Max showed him on T.V
Driving back home, all that occupied his thoughts was how he would execute his revenge, the influence of families were large even with his disguise it was only a matter of time before he was caught
He knew fully well that Max didn't want him to run from one place to another but also knew that he wouldn't want him back into those blood thirsty hands, he had to leave this city but he had no idea how to tell Theo or Ned
" Do you know what the time is " Theo nagged as soon as Gustavo opened the door like a angry and worried mother whose child came home late
" Am sorry, I didn't realise it was that late"
" You're 19 not 30. You don't need to overwork ,can your heart even handle it?" Theo nagged even more aggrieved
" Yeah, you've been coming home late and were really worried" Ned chipped in trying to calm Theo
" Am sorry, I will try to be more cautious of time" Gustavo genuinely said being truly grateful for their care
" I know you're sorry and I know that you want to end them but what is the point of you can't live on" Theo said after he calmed down
" Don't worry I will live on upon their demise" Gustavo said with burning determination in his eyes
Theo and Ned seeing the burning desire sighed and dropped the matter, they couldn't make him give up , all they could do is to support him to the fullest
After his Dinner , he decided to tell them of his plan to leave
" You want to leave, but to where " Theo asked still trying to process his words
" Not now, but soon. They are looking for me and I know it, now with my interactions with Reginald, they going to search my background, although Max settled up an amazing background for me. For the families it's only a matter of time to realise something is amiss"
" But what about school, you still have 2 years to go" Ned asked
" Winter Collage has a campus in City K, I plan on doing a transfer"
" You know, I feel like this is getting too much. I mean I understand why you are doing all these but I feel like you are missing out on life" Ned said feeling listless
" I know, 7 years is all that I need . 7 years and these two families would be buried. Well enough of me, tell me how the competition has been going" Gustavo said changing the Subject
" Great, we have advance to the final level and facing once again Royal College. Luckily Andrew isn't on the team this time" Theo brightened as he talked about the competition
" Yeah, however we can't let our guard down as he may have minions ready to snatch our idea this time around " Ned said too feeling a bit more lifeful
Gustavo smiled as he watched them discuss the project and it's design, he was truly happy to enjoy to small moments. He would cherish these tiny moments as life cards.
Retiring to his room later on, he took out the picture of his mom he had gotten earlier and just stared at it. She was truly beautiful and happy as she held him, although Max was they one who discovered his blood capabilities it was the Fishers and Cartels that tore them apart
Now he didn't even know if she was still alive, but one thing was very clear
" Mom..." He choked as he held that picture he didn't even know if he had other family members all that proved he was actually born a human being was this picture of his mother carrying him like he was the centre of the universe.
" I will find you, dead or alive"
