Magmortar, the Blast Pokémon, the evolved form of Magmar!
Even someone who knows nothing about Pokémon could guess Magmortar's type. As for someone like Terrance, he was even more familiar with Magmortar's basic information.

At this moment, Magmortar stood in the middle of the battlefield, eyes filled with pride as it looked at Altaria in the air, spraying out a taunting stream of flames downward.

Facing the fierce Dragon Pulse, Magmortar let out a loud cry, took a slight step back with its right foot, and assumed a power-gathering stance. At the same time, it clenched its right fist, staring intently at the rapidly approaching Dragon Pulse.
In the next moment, a wave of heat burst from Magmortar's right fist, stirring up searing flames. The temperature was so high that even the incoming Dragon Pulse began to blur. Even Altaria could sense just how troublesome this Fire Punch was.
What violent flames!
Terrance stared intently as Magmortar's right fist blasted out, a red flash erupting with a bang. The flames exploded like dynamite, instantly burning away the Dragon Pulse and piercing right through it.
"As one of Kanto's veteran Gym Leaders, Blaine's strength truly lives up to his reputation. He's undeniably a Top Trainer." Terrance was stunned inside, becoming even more fired up. By this point, after just one round, both Pokémon were already seizing opportunities to attack on their own.
After burning away the Dragon Pulse, Magmortar swung its fists, and the flames swirling through the air shot out together in explosive bursts, like clusters of blazing bombs. This Flame Burst move was used with impressive skill!
At the same time, Altaria gathered energy for Dragon Claw, swatting away several fireballs in an instant. However, the searing smoke that exploded from the flames clung to Altaria, scorching its body.
"Hiding Lava Plume within the exploding Flame Burst and unleashing it in the form of a Fire Punch? Truly troublesome..."
Terrance immediately issued a new command. Altaria underwent Refresh's purification, dispersing the burns. Then, it quickly mobilized its strength again, transforming itself into a dragon-shaped form condensed from bluish-purple flames, and charged forward fiercely!
During Dragon Rush, Altaria released a powerful killing intent, locking onto Magmortar and leaving it almost nowhere to escape.
"Magmortar, use Flare Blitz!" Blaine shouted.

The bluish-purple dragon and the fiery red dragon clashed fiercely, and a powerful shockwave erupted from the center of the field. Both Terrance and Blaine couldn't help but take a step back because of the shockwaves, raising their arms to shield themselves from the heat waves.
This collision left Blaine utterly shocked. As the flames dispersed, Magmortar was gripping Altaria's neck with one hand, lightning and fire entwined around its fist. The combination of Thunder Punch and Fire Punch—the fusion of lightning and flame—perfectly reproduced Terrance's Arcanine's Thunderfire technique, but in a different form.
What surprised Blaine even more was that Terrance's Altaria actually managed to react as well, landing a powerful Dragon Claw on Magmortar's body after the collision. Both Pokémon took hits from each other's quick reflexes, but it was clear that Altaria had fallen into a disadvantage.
Under the dual assault of electricity and flames, Altaria—a Dragon and Flying type—was being choked by the neck and had suffered serious damage.
As for Dragon Claw, aside from that initial burst of power, its strength had already faded and it lacked any follow-up force.
"Young man, it's over." Although he was surprised by Terrance's strength, Blaine laughed heartily, looking proudly at Altaria restrained by Magmortar. Even though Terrance had shown strength that amazed him, he was still a bit too inexperienced.

As the two moves collided, the center of Fire Blast was pierced through instantly, its entire energy structure collapsing in a violent explosion. Meanwhile, Moonblast continued toward Magmortar. Faced with this fierce attack, Blaine's brows furrowed as Magmortar used Fire Punch to smash the remnants of Moonblast, but by this time, nearly ten Double Team of Altaria had already appeared above the battlefield…
While Blaine was still in shock, countless beams of light radiated out from each Altaria, transforming into streams of Fairy Light that blanketed the entire field. The dense, indiscriminate barrage left Magmortar with nowhere to escape, able only to fend off attacks with Fire Punch.
