Chapter 71 - [DANCING IN HIS ARMS]

Gasper stared at the lady in front of him and didn't know what to make out of what he was thinking. "Could it be him?" He thought, not knowing why he was getting angry for no reason. "Was it that prison guy?" Getting more vim he asked her.

Abigail nodded her head to say yes and not able to see her cry, Gasper wished Enoch would show up in front of him so he could give him the punches he had promised him before their relationship began." That jerk is going to get it from me. " He said under his breath as he stood from the stone.

He couldn't tell when or how their relationship started, but he was both happy and angry that it had ended. He remembered clearly that about a week ago, Enoch was supposed to give his statement at the court hearing, but he didn't show up, even though it was the last hearing and his statement counts.

He punched his fist into the walls of the castle and Abigail rushed to check if he was hurt. Her actions surprised him since he knew she had no feelings for him. "You don't have to punch the wall you know. How will you punch his face when you see him? " He heard her saying, making him laugh through his anger.

"I won't force you to tell me but am ready to listen to what and how everything happened." He said while he pet Abigail's head with his other hand, pushing a strand of hair off her face.

Abigail only smiled and began to tell him everything that happened, letting him know how good their relationship was until the very end, of course omitting some part he didn't have to know. At the end of her long speech, Gasper only got more angry and he started pacing around. Then he noticed two men staring at them from the restaurant.

Looking at the men closely, he new they were non other than the man he and Abigail were talking about. Angrily he wanted to go and punch them each, but on second thought, he stopped and thought of a better way to hurt that man. "Hay why not dance of your sadness, come on let's dance." He forced Abigail to her feet as he spoke.

"Right here? But the song is even not that clear from here?" Abigail was not sure what to do, but she knew she wasn't going to say no to him. " Okay then let go to the restaurant then, I promise it will be fun. You'll like it." She heard him say when she was looking around to see if people were watching them.

Suddenly, she held his out stretched hand then started running to the restaurant, dragging him along. Gasper couldn't tell what got into her, but still run along, asking himself if Abigail might have seen Enoch already.

At the restaurant she held Gasper close to kick start their dance, but Gasper stopped her and asked; "Are you sure?" She just nod to reply and as if the one controlling the music new they were about to dance, a new song started playing for them.

Enoch's anger was up to it limit but surprisingly, he wasn't angry at Gasper but Abigail, he felt betrayed. His blood was boiling and he didn't know how to make it stop. He kicked the chair in front of him and Gideon was the one who suffered the pain.

Abigail on the other hand pretending she hasn't seen him kept dancing to a song she didn't even know how to sign. Some of the couples at the restaurant also joined in on the dance and suddenly the song changed into a slow cool song, and everyone had to dance with their partner.

"What? It's afternoon not evening, so why is the DJ playing that song?" Enoch question angrily.

"Why? Are you mad at the DJ too?" Gideon asked teasingly. But Enoch only glerd at him.

"She's not getting away with this. Am doing everything for her and this is how she'll repay me?" Upon seeing Abigail placed her head on Gasper's chest and dancing with him hand in hand, he couldn't help but snap.

Unaware, a waitress passing by to give someone's order to them, almost bumped into a man who was going to the attendant to make an order. To avoid being smashed with hot food, he swerve the waitress but ended up bumping into Gasper.

In reflex Abigail got pushed and lost her balance almost crashing to the ground. Enoch, Gideon and Gasper all went to her rescue in a rush, but Gasper being close, was fast to hold her on time, causing the two to kiss unintentionally.

The tension in the restaurant increased as the two didn't know they were being watched, forgetting the world around them as emotions set in. "Too close.... You are too close Gasper." Abigail whispered, only then did Gasper realized the many eyes on them. He held Abigail up and helped her adjust her hair and dress, but they couldn't dance again till the music died.

"Am at this corner, watching you kissing another man, dancing in his arms till the music died, pretending you didn't see me." Enoch was fuming with anger, but all he could do was just watch as the two walked hand in hand down the stairs of the restaurant.

" Take me home will you." Abigail said to Gasper and he nodded to respond, feeling awkward about what happened earlier.

Enoch watched them as they walked out of his presence. "Are you letting them leave? Won't you stop her and explain things to her?" Gideon asked in frustration, not knowing how to solve the problem between the two lovers.

"I wanted to see the one she got to replace me so I can say good bye, now that she's happy I have to let her be." Enoch replied, but anyone who heard him would know he didn't mean any of what he said.

A waitress approached them and asked if they were going to make an order or not and when Enoch turned to reply, he noticed she was the same waitress which caused the kiss between Abigail and Gasper. "Am not going to order, not today nor ever. Get the hell out of my sight." Enoch's voice was cold, giving the innocent waitress a chill.

He found himself walking out of the restaurant even before the waitress could think of moving. "Find your way home I have somewhere to go." He told Gideon as they walked towards his car.

"Make sure you don't treat her like you do the others." Gideon shouted at him knowing very well where his boss was going. "I didn't say am going to your madam, am going to punish someone." Enoch shouted back and drove off before Gideon could say anything else.

"I was just right in front of her so why didn't she see me." Enoch asked himself angrily as he hit the steering wheel, steping on the accelerator to make the car go faster than it was already, in a hurry to reach his destination.

After a few minutes drive, his car came to a holt in front of the police station, after parking well, he got down from the car to great and had a chat with the police officers he new at the station. After a little while, he decided on walking to Abigail's house since it was getting late, hoping to meet her in a good mood or sleeping at least.

It was past 8pm and Abigail was now returning home from her outing with Gasper, only to meet her door unlocked. "I guess I was in a hurry that I left this door opened." She commented as she entered the room and removed her slippers before putting on the lights in the room.

"Ahaaaaaaa....mmmmm..." She exclaimed upon seeing a man in her room standing in the dark in front of her window, but her mouth was covered shortly after. She used the remaining strength in her to push him away from her when she realised it was Enoch.

" Get out. I don't want to see you. How did you get in here?" She kept pushing him towards the door as she spoke not daring to look him in the eyes.

"You want me to leave? Really? What if it was that guy, would you have hugged him. Do you know how long I've been wanting for you here? Where have you been all bay? Let me guess, playing and dancing with your new found love right? Am I that easy to be replaced?" Enoch kept ranting but he still had more questions on his mind.

" We were never in a relationship, so why would I have to replace you?" If she wanted him out of her room, then cutting him short and making him angry was the best way she could think of.
