"W-what is happening, Adam?!" Lucy asked, her voice trembling as worry tightened her brows.
"A-and… who is this lady?" Her eyes scanned the girl standing behind Adam—dark ponytail, a full mask covering her face, silent and still like a shadow.
But before she could ask again, her eyes snapped back to her brother. "W-why did you ask me to bring you inside secretly? Why are we hiding on the balcony like this?"
She stood in the small balcony attached to her room, dressed in a loose T-shirt and pajama pants, having been ready to watch a movie before Adam called her with a frantic, almost desperate tone. He had told her to sneak him into the mansion without anyone noticing… and that he needed to talk to her urgently.
But why?
Adam's breath was uneven. "I… I don't know how to explain this to you, Lucy. I—heard something about Davis. Something bad. He isn't who you think he is. He's… he's dangerous and—"
